Chabad Inspiration
Happiness Goals & Success
Hi
Wishing you Gut Shabbos Candle lighting today: 4:55pm
Happy days coming:
Tomorrow Jews around the world will bless the upcoming new month of Adar 1. This year is a leap year with two Adars. The Talmud teaches: “When Adar arrives we increase happiness"
Happiness is a foundation of Jewish life. Especially in Chabad philosophy. The human being has a body and a soul. Happiness is not primarily a body phenomena. Happiness is primarily associated with the soul, mind and psyche within our body
As young children we assume that happiness is synonymous with fun. Mature adults know better. Happiness is when a person feels that something good and meaningful is being achieved
Happiness is when we honestly celebrate life. Living a meaningful life is a happy life. There is no magic pill for feeling genuinely happy. Happiness is when the goals we believe are sincerely worth ;celebrating are successfully achieved
In short:
Creating goals which are worthy of celebration, goals which give purpose and meaning to our life are a good recipe for a happy life
Since the Jew is gifted with a holy divine Jewish soul , then
it's logical that living a life which gives our Jewish soul purpose and a meaningful life will give us happiness
King David says: "The commandments of Hashem are upright, they cause the heart to be happy"
When we as finite beings, touch the holy, infinite and eternal, that gives us true validation and happiness
In today's confused world there are tragically young people who commit suicide. They sadly don't recognize the true happiness in life. As Jews we know that life is the most precious gift
Life is not an object. It's not tangible. Yet life is what we all want. In Chabad Chasdidic philosophy, a happy life is experienced when we utilize the talents of our soul with our body. Living a genuine productive life
By maximizing the gift of life and living meaningfully, a life filled with Torah and Mitzvot, goodness and kindness , this brings us lasting happiness
Each person is special, needed and costume designed by G-d. Each person has talents and abilities which can make our world a better happier place
When we realize that each good action we take, is truly a success in achieving G-d's plan of creation, then we elevate ourselves to a G-dly existence
Rambam - Maimonides says that a person should always know that each good deed brings redemption and happiness to the world
May we be inspired to increase our goodness and kindness, living our life with purpose and meaning
The Zohar - Kabbalah teaches that the Shabbos preceding a new month, brings blessing for the entire month
May we celebrate this Shabbos with increased happiness, celebrating and setting meaningful life goals and merit to see the eternal days of happiness with Moshiach Now!
