Leadership Forgiveness & Souls

 Hi

Wishing you Gut Shabbos

Leadership : What is a leader ?

In Jewish tradition Moshe (Moses) was the first leader of the Jewish people upon becoming a nation
Moshe was a shepherd. One day as his flock was grazing he noticed that one sheep was missing
The sheep was far behind. tired. Lost. It was unable to keep up with the group

Moshe, being sensitive to the lost  sheep , lovingly picked up the sheep and carried it back to the rest of the flock. At that moment G-d said: You Moshe, you care for the lost individual sheep. You are chosen to take care of my beloved children, Am Yisroel. You are a real leader

The Rebbe points out:

Moshe was sensitive and caring to the individual lost sheep. It's not sufficient to care for the masses. Leadership is when you care for the individual. Even just one lost sheep. Every individual counts

In this weeks Torah portion: When the Jews sinned by worshiping the golden calf, G-d
said to Moshe: "Now leave Me alone, and My anger will be kindled against them so that I will annihilate them, and I will make you into a great nation."

When Moshe saw how  G-d was considering to annihilate  the Jews, Moshe gave G-d an ultimatum.
Moshe said to G-d: "And now, if You forgive their sin, but  if not, erase me now from Your book, which You have written."

Wow!

Moshe is willing to sacrifice his special relationship with G-d. Moshe is willing to be erased from G-d's book in order to protect the sinners who betrayed G-d and worshipped idolatry, a golden calf

That's Jewish leadership !

One who is willing to pay a personal price in order to  protect, defend and save even the sinning Jew. That's Jewish leadership

Every Jew has a spark of Moshe. We are inspired to emulate Moshe and to save the lost sheep. Even the sinner

The love which our father in heaven has for every Jew in unconditional. Infinite

G-d loves you . A father always loves his children. Unconditionally. Even if they betrayed him

It is our duty and great merit to help every Jewish child to receive a Jewish education. To ensure that no Jew is lost

The Baal Shemtov teaches: A Jewish soul comes down to this world for seventy, eighty years, just to do a favor for another Jew !

Ahavas Yisroel. Love your fellow Jew

May we be inspired to strengthen our love for every one of our Jewish brothers and sisters.

Am Yisroel is one family. We are all equally the children of our one father in heaven. Let's be like Moshe. Let's save the lost sheep. Let's love each member of our Jewish family unconditionally

Then you know you are a leader !
