Chabad Inspiration A Mother of Royalty
Honoring Parents
Hi
Wishing you a Gut Shabbos
Happy Birthday 140!
The Rebbe's mother's 140th birthday anniversary is this Shabbos
On the day of a persons birthday, the Talmud teaches us that a persons Mazel shines
With strength
It is a powerful day of blessing
The following story is inspiration for us all
Ever since 1947 when the Rebbe brought his mother to the United States of America and settled in Crown Heights The Rebbe would visit his mother on a daily basis
When the Rebbe with come all visitors would leave in order to allow mother and son to have their privacy
One day a certain individual decided to stay in a corner of the apartment and observe this special visit of mother and son
At the end of the visit when the Rebbe was leaving from his mother, this individual noticed that instead of walking straight to the door of the Rebbe first walked to the dining room chairs in order to arrange them and then to the photos hanging on the wall and straightening the picture frames
This repeated itself upon a second occasion when this individual was present and then upon the third
At that point the Rebbe's mother said to this individual:
"Since my sons bar mitzvah I have not seen his back and he thinks that I don't notice"
The love respect and honor from a holy son to his beloved righteous mother!
As we celebrate this special day of a mother of royalty who gave us the gift of the Jewish leader who has Single-handedly establish more than 4000 Chabad Houses centers around the globe serving every Jew unconditionally with love, Let us take a moment to pay tribute and do something special for a mother of royalty
Today's young children would be well served to appreciate the love and beauty of this story and how one should endeavor to honor your mother and father Especially as this particular mitzvah is one of the 10 Commandments
It is interesting to note that according to Jewish law honoring one's mother and father includes honoring them even after their physical life by doing things which gives their soul honor and pleasure
May we merrit to see the day when all the Jewish people of history will come back to life in this physical world with the coming of Moshiach now!
