Chabad Inspiration Shabbos Chanukah & Rosh Chodesh
Hi
Wishing you Gut Shabbos
Happy Chanukah
Good Chodesh- Month
Candle lighting today NY Metro 4:10 pm
This Shabbos we celebrate three special happy occasions
Shabbos, Chanukah, Rosh Chodesh
Each has so many beautiful messages
Let’s focus on one short point for each:
Shabbos:
A day of freeing ourself from financial worry and inspiring our life with purpose and holiness.
Chanukah:
Although the miracle was eight days thus eight candles, the Shamash/server and ninth candle stands taller then the eight. The Rebbe explains its because serving others is greater then just taking care of our self. Be a leader. Serve others.
Rosh Chodesh:
The new month of Tevet
We celebrate Rosh Chodesh on the new moon
Unlike the sun, the moon changes in size
After seemingly disappearing each month, a new moon is born
The Jewish people are compared to the moon
At times our history shines brightly
Yet at times our history seems like we are on the brink heaven forbid
The Jew is resilient, similar to the moon
We always reemerge , shining brightly
Never give up !
There is always hope
A new bright shining future
