Chabad Inspiration Chanukah Candles Speak

Hi

Wishing you Gut Shabbos

Jews around the world will light the Menorah Sunday night

Chanukah!

The Rebbe points out many inspirational  ideas which we learn from Chanukah

To name a few:

1) Each night we ad a new candle

In Jewish life we strive to grow

No stagnation. Maximizing our G-d given potential

2) We start with just one candle

In life it's about taking that first step. Improvement begins with one step at a time

3) The Talmud says that the time to light the Menorah is:
"Mishetishka Hachamah" when the sun sets

In life we never give up

Precisely at the dark moment, when all seems lost, the sun set, it's dark and scary, that  is when the Jew lights  a candle

Transforming darkness into light

There is always hope and celebration. A bright new future

4) The Jewish fighters were a tiny group up against the powerful Syrian Greeks

The Jews miraculously were victorious

In life, when we give it our best then G-d blesses our efforts with success

5) Jews fought against the hellenist culture of assimilation

In life, we, as Jews of today,  know that assimilation is our most dangerous enemy

With faith, resolve and dedication we can successfully transmit our beautiful Jewish heritage to the younger generation

In Yiddish we are taught: Men Darf Zich Tzuheten Tzu Di Lichtelach

We must listen to the voice of the Chanukah candles

They are proudly telling us. Celebrate your Jewishness

Carry the banner of Judaism with pride

The children are our future

Am Yisroel Chai !

As this  Shabbos we bless the coming month of Tevet , wish you a blessed successful new month

Lchayim
