Triumph Leadership & Purim
Hi
Wishing you Gut Shabbos
Candle Lighting NY Metro 6:50
Happy celebrations and festive meals of Purim were enjoyed by Jews around the world yesterday. Today, Jerusalem celebrates Purim since it has a wall surrounding it since the times of the student of Moshe- Moses, Yehoshua-Joshua
What if someone chooses to read the Megilah backwards? The Talmud states the individual did not fulfill the commandment. The Baal Shemtov interprets this in practical life. One who reads the Megilah “backwards” in time, thinking it’s an old story, does not fulfill the Mitzvah. The Megilah of Purim has countless inspirational messages for each of us in our modern times
3 Inspiring messages of the Rebbe:
1. Life has moments when it can all seems dark and doomed. hopeless. Even G-d seems to have left the scene. We may cry at the inevitable looming disaster. Ironically the name of G-d is not mentioned even once in the Purim Megilah. Because Jews never gives up. Full of hope and prayer. Then miracles happens and the Jew survives and thrives
2. Mordechei, the leader of the Jewish people “Did not kneel and did not bow”. Haman the antisemite was furious. But the Jew never bows to secular anti Jewish culture or pressure. As Jews we always walk with our heads held high. Proud to be a Jew. Live like a Jew. No surrender to outside influences. This is key to Jewish continuity
3. Upon hearing the decree of annihilation, Mordechai the Jewish leader gathered twenty two thousand Jewish children of the capital city of Persia to study Torah. The Jew knows that Jewish continuity is dependent on Jewish education. Every Jewish child deserves a Jewish education. Today more then ever, the time proven remedy to the threat of assimilation is giving today’s Jewish child a Torah Jewish education. Jewish education equals Jewish continuity
