One Leader. One World. One Destiny.
The journey of the Rebbe:
This Monday 28 Sivan will celebrate 78 years since the Rebbe and his wife Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson escaped Nazi Europe and miraculously arrived to the blessed shores of the United States Of America.
Born on the eleventh day of Nisan, four days before Passover of 1902 in Nikolaev Ukraine. The journey continued to: Russia, Latvia, Poland, Germany, France, Portugal, USA.
After the holocaust the Jewish spirit needed a boost. A national renaissance.
The Rebbe set out to rekindle the flame of Jewish pride and celebration. Establishing an unprecedented global network of Chabad Houses and Lubavitch centers. Today with more then four thousand centers around the globe the future of Jewish continuity shines brightly.
From devastation, ruins and ashes to unprecedented global success. The Rebbe single handily changed the course of Jewish history. Never before has any leader of any nation created such a global network.
As we honor the Rebbe on this happy 78th anniversary with Torah study and Mitzvot, with acts of goodness and kindness, let us take strength and inspiration. To always look forward with optimism and resilience. With vision and with motivation. To discover our unlimited power endowed to each of us by the creator. Maximizing our gift of life. Utilizing each moment in the best way possible. Celebrating life and it’s achievements. Ushering in a world of peace and redemption.
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) The windows of the Temple in Jerusalem were narrow on the inside and wide on the outside. Projecting the Temple light outward. The purpose of the Temple light is to illuminate the outside darkness. To light up the world with warmth and purpose. With joy and meaning. We all strive to build a temple in our heart. You are a walking Menorah. You are G-d’s partner in transforming the darkness of the world into light. Selflessly. Not Narcissistic. The world is not a jungle. It is the beautiful garden of the creator and we are the entrusted caretakers. When you light up your inner temple you bring light, beauty and blessings to the world. Which makes you happy. Maximize the real you.
2) Technology and gadgets are a Divine gift. “All that is created is in order to give honor and glory to the creator”. The Torah commands us not to steal. When we allow our children and ourselves to indulge in all of the hearts desires, to view all television shows without proper prior evaluation, then in a sense we are teaching theft. Because theft happens when a person acts on the heart’s desires without self control. We have the opportunity to positively mold our children’s character and to improve our own character. This is true education.
3) The world was created in order for humans with free choice to transform physicality from a state of aimless vacuum to a garden of Divine holiness and beauty. Life is purpose. No person is born randomly. Every soul is allocated a certain part of the world. When we each do our part then the vision, tapestry and goal of creation is achieved and the world will arrive to a state of pure goodness and peace. Every good deed you do belongs to you for eternity. You will forever enjoy the fruits you planted. In the microcosm Moshiach means to be the best you can be. To discover your true beautiful self. Remember you are created in the Divine image. Let your true image shine brightly. That’s your guaranteed path to your eternal happiness.
