Self inspiration can take you from being passive to being motivated. From sadness to excitement. From being in despair to being passionate and motivated. from stagnation to growth.
In Chabad philosophy we learn how your thoughts and your mind create emotions. Chabad is an acronym which represents Wisdom Understanding and Knowledge.
Chabad is when your mind takes an idea and develops it and then most importantly you take the time to focus and concentrate on it for a significant period of time, then your mind will give birth to genuine sustained emotions.
The Talmud teaches us "Who is a wise person? One who can see what is going to be born". To visualize in advance the finished product. When the eye of your mind "sees" the finished product it creates an emotion, a will and a desire to achieve the goal successfully.
The Chabad book of Tanya, elaborates on the Aramaic words of the Zohar: "Mo-ach Shalit Al Halev" The mind controls the heart. The mind creates and controls the emotions of your heart.
As we are now in the three week period of mourning for the destruction of our beloved Jerusalem and the destruction of both Holy Temples, we try to visualize the good times which will come with Moshiach when the Jewish nation will live happily in Israel with universal peace. The focus and visualization of these joyous days inspire us to do additional acts of goodness and kindness. Charity, Torah and Mitzvot. Bringing peace, harmony and an eternal life of joy. Meaning and Divine celebration.
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) Living forever: Maimonides' thirteen principles of Jewish faith Include the belief of the resurrection of the dead when Moshiach will come. It's in the Bible, the Talmud, Kabbalah and in all our daily prayers. In the words of the prophet Isaiah 26:19 "awaken and sing, you who dwell in the dust". There is one bone called Luz which is never destroyed. From this Luz bone G-d will recreate the body and bring it back to life in the land of Israel, healthy and healed from all ailments. Eating Melava Malka, the meal after Havdalah at the end of Shabbat, nourishes the Luz bone. Each Mitzvah you do hastens this reunification of all of Am Yisroel from all of history. The keys are in your hand.
2) Power of Faith. Shma Yisroel. “Here O Israel the Lord is our G-d the Lord is one”. This sacred prayer expresses our unshakable faith in one G-d. Judaism teaches that G-d who is above the laws of nature is hiding and is camouflaged within nature. Miracles and nature are both from G-d. If at times the future may not seem naturally optimistic, know that with faith, trust and the power of prayer we can inspire G-d to come out of hiding and all will be good. Like children who ask and successfully inspire their father to come out of his hiding place, so too can we ask our father in heaven to come out of hiding and reveal the Divine miraculous hand within nature. Never give up. G-d appreciates your sincerity and feels your pain. G-d is your father and loves you unconditionally. You are G-d's beloved child.
3) You are special. Your soul Is one with G-d. The beauty of your soul shines when the unity of G-d and your soul is revealed in our physical world. Therefore G-d desired a home in the lower worlds in order to highlight your greatness. You have the power to create an illuminated home for G-d in our physical world. A home where G-d is comfortable to reveal his essence for all to see. Every good deed, every Mitzvah, infuses G-dliness into our world, hastening Moshiach. Every time you give even one coin of your income to Tzedokoh-Charity, you bring the Divine presence to everything in the world which was instrumental in helping you earn that coin. G-d is waiting for your personal invitation to reside with you. In your heart and in your home. To be with you in all your activities. Your every good deed is the invitation. Celebrate your unique potential. Your infinite power.
