Riches Trailers & Success
A young Jewish family finally packed their summer vacation needs into the rented
U-Haul trailer which they attached to their family car. Filing the trailer with bicycles carriages and clothing for the entire family. At 9 PM they finally began driving to their summer vacation bungalow colony in the New York Catskill Mountains.
Just 3 minutes into their journey and a Brooklyn police officer pulls them over. After some questions the police officer says “so where’s all the clothing for the family for the two month summer vacation?”
“Officer it took us all day to pack everything into the attached trailer “. The police officer asked the father to please step out of the vehicle. To the father’s surprise the trailer was no longer attached. The trailer could be seen in the distance some two blocks behind.
Judaism emphasis education. Ensuring that children continue traveling with their “trailer“ connected to the lead-car of the parents and grandparents which has been traveling throughout Jewish history on the roads and tracks of Jewish heritage and tradition.
Genesis is not a book of “stories”. It is a blueprint to help us understand and appreciate the true priorities in life. To ensure that children and grandparents travel to the same destination. Our happiness In life is dependent on ensuring that the “trailer” and the lead-car remain connected.
Seeing some one thousand young children of the Rebbe’s Emissaries-Shluchim, smiling and happily singing at their own camp-convention in Crown Heights 770 Eastern Parkway, was inspiring heartwarming and moving. To see the power and beauty of their “trailer” proudly and happily attached with heart and soul. Focused with clarity vision and unity on their destination.
Jews are already traveling 3300 years since Mount Sinai. The Rebbe proclaims that we will imminently arrive to the promised land with Moshiach. Let’s make sure that no “child” is left behind. Including the “child within ourselves. Because every “child” deserves the long awaited prize.
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) Meaningful commitments require “knowledge” which means to recognize and feel a connection. Internalize feel and connect to the rich knowledge of Judaism and you will feel eternally rich. You are G-d’s child. You are a prince who deserves to be rich.
2) There is no hypocrisy when doing good. Because your soul always wants to to good. It’s only the Evil Inclination “the old fool” who shrewdly tries to discourage you. Unleash your soul and you will discover that at your core you always love doing good.
3) Love your fellow and G-d will love you. Do a favor for your fellow and G-d will do you a favor. Embrace your fellow and G-d will embrace you. Wherever you are it is by Divine Providence. When you plow and you plant it grows. Do your part and our loving father in heaven who loves you unconditionally will give you success.
