Pleasure Happiness & Choices
Hi
Wishing you Gut Shabbos
Candle Lighting NY Metro January 17 Tevet 20 4:34pm
Celebrate your birth. The founder of Chabad Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi known as The Alter Rebbe says in Tanya that we should be happy because we are fortunate to fulfill the creators desire which is making Him happy as we are “making for Him a home” in our physical world.
Rabbi Schneur Zalman’s passing was after Havdalah the night of 24 of Tevet 1812-5573 close to 10:30pm (Monday night and Tuesday will be 24 Tevet ) This holy time and the entire day of the Hillula anniversary of his passing is an auspicious time when he effects special help and deliverance in our physical world for everything one needs.
The first inner expression and revelation of a person is in the highest and deepest level of a person which in Kabbalah and Chassidus is called “Taanug” delight and desire for pleasure. The desired pleasure creates a “Rotzon” a “will” to actualize it. This “will” triggers a rational intellectual process which gives birth to human emotions which are followed by action.
All of existence began when our heavenly father and creator desired the pleasure of having a “home” in our physical world. You are privileged to host G-d and build His desired “home” by doing goodness and kindness in our physical world. Performing Divine Torah commandments.
The Tzemach Tzedek said “The ways of Chassidus” are for Chassidim to be like one family loving each other according to Torah. “Chassidus” is to bring life and vitality and illuminate everything including recognizing our faults and correcting them”.
The Alter Rebbe says in Tanya : “This is the entirety of every person and the purpose of creating humanity and the creation of all the upper and lower worlds to make this “home” for G-d in our physical world”. G-d chose to need you. You are irreplaceable. Part of the world is exclusively allocated to you for you to elevate it and transform it into a “home” for G-d. Moshiach is on the way. We all need you.
1) Maimonedes day of passing is 20 of Tevet 1204-4965. Maimonides writes “The foundation of all foundations and the pillar of all wisdom is to know and understand that there is a Supreme First Being and He brings into existence all which exists”. Chabad Chassidus gives us the tools to understand this by intellectually explaining Divinity and the process and purpose of creation and Divine Providence.
2) Maimonides rules that maintaining a healthy body is part of serving G-d. Only Judaism is focused on making peace between body and soul between heaven and earth between the spiritual and the physical. Harmonizing and uniting the two opposites by infusing holiness into the physical. Your soul is a part of G-d. When we say in our daily prayers that G-d “chose us” it refers to our physical body.
3) The body of those who passed away will be resurrected to physical life in the time of Moshiach. The body deserves the credit for actually doing the good things a person does because the soul alone cannot do physical actions. G-d cherishes the health of your body and commands you to take care of your body’s health. You are the pupil of G-d’s eye. G-d is in pain when you are in pain. You are never alone as G-d is always with you. “Think Good And It Will Be Good”.
