Triumph Ladders and Passion

Hi

Wishing you Gut Shabbos

Candle Lighting February 21- Shvat 26 NY Metro 5:16pm

Your triumph actualizes the purpose of creation.

Life is full of choices and moral struggles. Temptations are frustrating and require our inner strength to triumph over the luring power of temptation. Acts of either omission or commission.

Chabad Chassidus elaborates on the teaching of the Zohar that the creator has great pleasure when we triumph over temptation. When we transform darkness into light and bitter into sweet. The triumph over our inner conflicts gives the creator great pleasure.

Temptation is similar to a springboard. When used wisely the springboard  gives birth to new momentum to jump forward. The “down” propels the “up”.

Temptation is normal and it is an opportunity to grow. Freedom of choice is an integral part of the design of creation. Our triumph over every frustrating temptation has infinite eternal meaning. We transform the physical world into a happy beautiful home for the Divine. A world of Moshiach.

3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:

1) Judaism is passionate. To celebrate and feel it’s warmth and beauty. G-dliness is like a flame. There is only a thin wall which separates  the denial of G-d and being cold and apathetic. We can choose to inspire our heart and mind with passion and enthusiasm. As King David says: “All my bones shall speak of your greatness”. We can celebrate Judaism with a flame of love and joy.

2) The first positive Mitzvah is to ”Know” the creator. Pure simple faith in G-d is inherited automatically by all descendants of Abraham Issac and Jacob. We are blessed with a mind  to intellectually understand the existence of the creator. The mind gives birth to the emotions of the heart. Using our mind enriches our relationship with our loving father in heaven.

3) A person on step 99 of a 100 step ladder who is heading ”down” while another person is on step one and is heading ”up” then the person on step one is ”higher“. The ladder to our Father in Heaven is a private individualized relationship which we can not judge. Love your fellow unconditionally without being judgmental as G-d loves you unconditionally.
