Honoring The Rebbe’s Birthday

Sunday 11 Nissan - March 5 is the 118 birthday anniversary of the Rebbe. Born in 1902 in Nikolayev Ukraine to his illustrious parents Rabbi Levi Yitzchak and Rebbetzin Chana Schneerson.

With a network of more then 4000 Chabad House centers in more then 100 countries around the globe, the Rebbe has singlehandedly built this unprecedented and world’s largest Jewish organization.

The Rebbe teaches that a birthday is a powerful day of blessings. The Mazel of the individual shines with new strength.

You have the opportunity to receive  special blessings on this day. The Rebbe continues to give  blessings. Especially to those who ask. So take advantage and ask the Rebbe for a blessing for all that you want.

When you are thirsty and you want a drink you use a cup to hold the water. So too when we want a blessing to come down from heaven we prepare a “spiritual cup” to receive the blessing. Doing a Mitzvah, Torah, a good deed serve as our spiritual vessels and “cup”.

You can email your private confidential note to the Rebbe’s Ohel. Please include your full Jewish name and your mother’s Jewish name and email to: ohel@ohelchabad.org

The following messages are based on the teachings of the Rebbe:

Every individual is a powerful candle of light. One candle lights another without diminishing from the original candle. You have the power to be a leader and light-up the life of others who will continue the chain by lighting-up others. You can light up the world.

Birth is G-D saying “I need you”!

Your birth is proof that you have something beautiful and special to contribute to the world. You are not a random existence. You are a hand picked flower chosen by G-D to make the world a Divine beautiful garden filled with plantings of goodness and kindness.

The world was created for a purpose. Everything is by design. The creator is the architect who designed every detail. Nothing is by coincidence, everything is by Divine Providence.

G-D desired a home in our physical world and empowers us with the ability to transform the darkness into a brightly lit home for G-D.

Sometimes we understand and sometimes we simply must trust the “architect”.

Passover is the birth of the Jewish people. We were miraculously liberated from Egyptian slavery. 50 days later the Jewish people married G-D at Mount Sinai. The Ten Commandments and the Torah were given to the Jewish people as a marriage gift.

Every Passover we are obligated to relive the exodus as if we personally left Egypt . Because we are psychologically and emotionally slaves to a variety of forces.

Passover empowers us to set our self free. To shed the shackles of slavery and live in true freedom. To free ourself from all societal pressures and to choose a life as G-D prescribed in our holy Torah. To unleash your soul power. You can liberate your soul.

You are a beloved child of our loving Father in Heaven. The love that G-d has for you is unlimited and unconditional. You are G-d’s precious treasure and your very existence gives G-D pleasure. As the Torah says “You will be to me a priestly kingdom and a holy nation”.

If one person can cause a nuclear disaster (if one person can be the source of a virus and an epidemic) then certainly one person can cause a happy domino effect by inspiring goodness and kindness. Happiness and kindness are “contagious”. Your happiness and good deeds inspire and encourage your friends, contacts  and neighbors.

When a young little girl told the Rebbe “I love you Rebbe” the Rebbe gave her an extra dollar saying “this is for the love”.

We our blessed and fortunate to celebrate the birthday of the Rebbe who as the leader of our generation loves you unconditionally. A shepherd does not not abandon his flock.

Let us show our love and reciprocity and give the Rebbe a gift:  Torah study, Prayer, A Mitzvah. Deeds of goodness and kindnesses.

The Rebbe publicly declared that because we are the 7th generation of the founder of Chabad, Rabbi Schneur Zalman, therefore  we are beloved. As our sages teach us: All Sevenths our beloved.

We are the generation who will merit to complete the global plan of creation and bring about universal peace, health, unity and revealed Divine wisdom with the coming of Moshiach Now.

The Rebbe made a prophetic statement:

“The time of our redemption has arrived. Moshiach is on his way. Moshiach is ready to come now, it is only on our part to do something additional in the realm of goodness and kindness“.

In honor of the Rebbe’s birthday let us fulfill the Rebbe’s directive to maximize our unlimited potential and be all you can be. Actualize your potential by being the leader you were born to be. Help your fellow with unconditional love and help heal the world.

Every bit of effort you invest in goodness and kindness, transforms and elevates the physical energy you are consuming into Divine holy energy. You can transform darkness into light, sadness into happiness, hatred into love and the mundane into holy.

Nothing can stop you. You can choose to be part of G-d’s army. You can complete the global mission of making this world a brightly lit comfortable home for G-D.  You can hasten the revelation of Moshiach Now.

As Jews around the world proclaim at the conclusion of the Passover Seder “Next year in Jerusalem”  May we merit to see the fulfillment of this prayer now!

Please remember to share and inspire all in your circle of influence.

You can light up the world. The world needs you!

Be the beautiful loving soul you were born to be!
