Hi
Wishing you Gut Shabbos
Candle Lighting April 17 - 23 Nissan NY Metro 7:17pm
The mutual love between the Jewish people and G-d is poetically expressed by King Solomon in Shir Hashirim -Song of Songs- chapter five verse two: “My beloved is knocking: Open for me, my sister, my beloved, my dove, my perfect one”.
In a manuscript of 1808, published by Chabad Kehot Publications as the “Ma’Morim 5568” of the Alter Rebbe, the founder of the Chabad movement, explains that in metaphoric terms the Jewish people “perfect” and “complete” the Divine.
G-d chose to come down into the lower worlds in the metaphoric shape of a king who has organs. Each of the 613 commandments correspond to a different organ and body part. The Creator chooses to express His infinite glory in the Lower worlds via His commandments which are compared to organs.
We accomplish this when we perform the commandments. Our actions count. We shape and form -in metaphoric terms- the Divine into a body of a king. We make the Divine “perfect and complete”.
Therefore G-d calls the Jewish people “Tamosi”. You make me complete!
You are the one who makes the creator complete!
You are the one who has the power to fulfill the desire of the creator to be shaped like a king!
May you be blessed with good health and long life as your Mitzvot help our loving Father in Heaven to achieve His goal.
Each deed of your goodness and kindness brings the entire world closer to healing. To a world cured from pain, suffering jealousy and illness. A world of peace and harmony. A world of Moshiach!
You make G-d complete. G-d believes in you and is counting on you!
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) The natural world is created in a cycle of seven. Seven days of creation. The number Eight represents “the guardian of the cycle” which transcends the limits of the natural order.
The final day of Passover has two aspects. 1) It is the 8th day 2) It is the last day. it is a class of its own. It empowers us to transcend the laws of nature and make giant supernatural progress. You can propel yourself and you can Pass-over great distances, jumping and leaping over natural limitations.
Take advantage of this power and momentum and you will be blessed to achieve unprecedented and unlimited goals, reaching new heights and unprecedented achievements.
2) We count 49 days between Passover and the receiving on the 50th day the Torah at Mount Sinai with the Ten Commandments. 50 corresponds to the 50 gates of Intellectual Understanding. By counting each of the 49 days and refining your behavior and character, you can reach new heights of Intellectual power.
3) The Biblical meaning of the word for counting “Usfartem” is related to the the word “Sapir” which is the precious Sapphire stone. By refining one aspect of yourself each of the 49 days, you reveal the beauty of your soul and you will shine with the elegance, grace and beauty of a Sapphire.
