Goals Prayer & Motivation
Hi
Wishing you Gut Shabbos
Candle Lighting Friday May 15 - Iyar 21 NY Metro 7:45pm
You can successfully achieve all your goals. everything!
Every person has certain talents and skills which are a gift from the creator.
When we recognize that everything we have is from the Infinite master-of-universe, then we become transformed and empowered to represent the creator.
You can successfully maximize your potential and be the best you can be.
During the 49 days between Pesach and Shavuot, we are to polish our inner diamond. Removing any dirt and particles which may have accumulated.
In Chabad philosophy, prayer is a cherished opportunity. Prayer is the time when our inner "princess", our soul, embraces her Heavenly Father.
Like a young princess who has been deprived and incarcerated and was not able to embrace her father, and then the doors of the jail are opened and the princess is set free.
Our soul is compared to a princess. Because just like a princess is the child of her loving father, so to are we the child of our loving father in heaven.
For 1943 the Rebbe published the Hayom Yom. It is a unique treasure filled with relatively short Chabad daily teachings.
For 23 Iyar the Rebbe writes:
"The beginning of one's decline, G‑d save us, is the lack of avoda -toil and effort- in davening. Everything becomes dry and cold. Even a mitzvaperformed by habit becomes burdensome. Everything is rushed. One loses the sense of pleasure in Torah-study. The atmosphere itself becomes crass. Needless to say, one is totally incapable of influencing others".
May we all be blessed to utilize and maximize our potential and to polish our “diamond”.
As the Rebbe tells us: Moshiach is ready to come now. It is only on our part to do something additional in the realm of goodness and kindness.
May you be blessed with good health and happiness and be part of bringing universal peace and healing to the world.
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) On his birthday, one should spend time in seclusion. He should recall his experiences and think deeply into them. He should then repent and correct those (of his past deeds) that need correction and repentance.
2) The command "You shall rebuke” is preceded by the words "You shall not hate your brother," for this is a precondition for the rebuke. The Torah continues, "...and you shall not ascribe sin to him," for if the rebuke was ineffectual, you are certainly the one responsible, for yours were not words coming from the heart.
3) Every person must know that G‑d, through His individual Providence, gives each person the ability to bring G‑d's supernal Will from the potential state to the actual. This is done through fulfilling the mitzvot and strengthening Judaism and our holy Torah at all times in every place. All depends solely upon one's "avoda" effort.
