G-d Loves Details!
Hi
Wishing you Gut Shabbos

Have you ever been frustrated when somebody insists on the details? From a logical perspective it can sometimes seem petty. Yet Judaism is concerned with the details.
We ask four detailed Passover questions. Shabbat and Holidays begin exactly at sunset. Every letter written in a Torah and Mezuzah must be exactly perfect. A tiny scratch on the knife changes Kosher to non Kosher.
The deeper question can be: Why does the infinite Creator care about finite details?
Why is Kosher style not enough? Why the insistence on precise details?
Chabad philosophy explains that the word Mitzvah has two general meanings.
1) Commandant. 2) Connection. When we do a Mitzvah, a Commandment, we “finite” humans are “Connecting“ to the “infinite“ Creator.
When you ask your friend to please do you an important favor which has specific “details” and your friend does exactly as you asked, then you feel a special connection with your friend. Because your personal will and detailed desire was fulfilled. Exactly as you asked. It touches your essence.
Our Father in Heaven is infinite. His essence is invested in His will. You connect to G-d’s essence when He asks you to do something for Him with exact details and you follow His exact will. If we change the details we don’t connect. Without the dot there is no internet connection.
This is why doing even one Mitzvah is so powerful. One Mitzvah connects you to G-d. One Mitzvah done correctly connects more then many done incorrectly.
So it’s not about being petty. It’s about the quality of our eternal connection. Authentic friendship is about connecting. One authentic hug or one authentic compliment, is more cherished then a thousand manipulating schemes and false lip-service accolades.
Next time you want to connect to G-d, all you need to do is an authentic Mitzvah! Our Father in Heaven loves you and He wants to give you a hug. First think for a moment about the connecting power of any Mitzvah and just do it.
When you do a Mitzvah you are receiving a hug from G-d. If you pay attention you may feel the love!
King Solomon says in Kohelet:
“Through laziness the rafter sinks, and with idleness of the hands the house leaks”.
Let’s achieve new hope and happiness now!
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) Every Mitzvah is a diamond. A person carrying a load of rocks and stones becomes tired. But a person carrying a load of diamonds is happy if you add another diamond to the load. Appreciate each Mitzvah. Because every Mitzvah is your priceless diamond.
2) Once the Rebbe asked a group of students from a Jewish elementary school, if they will continue to a Jewish High-School. They said no. The Rebbe asked: Why not? One student said: “Because that’s what all the kids on the block are doing“.
The Rebbe asked: What are you studying in Judaic studies? The student answered: “We are studying the story of Abraham and his kindness”. The Rebbe said: The reason why Abraham was successful is because he did not pay attention to “What all the kids on the block are doing”!
3) Status quo is not always healthy. We need to tap in to the energy of youth and we can successfully create healthy growth. When we harness the energy of the youth with the wisdom of the elders then the harmony yields healthy positive growth. The sign of life of every living thing is it’s growth and development!
Your good deed can bring Moshiach Now!
