Roosters Happiness & Health

Hi

Wishing you Gut Shabbos

Candle Lighting NY Metro June 26 - 4 Tamuz 8:10pm

A story with a rooster:

An Israeli Jew came to see the Rebbe at 770 Eastern Parkway. He asked the Rebbe, why is it that the first of the morning blessings is to thank G-d for the rooster, who distinguishes between day and night.

The Rebbe asked this fellow: if you were to bring a rooster from Israel to New York, what time would the rooster crow? At the crack of dawn on Israeli time or New York time?

The fellow didn’t know what to answer. The Rebbe responded that the rooster would crow when it’s dawn in the New York. Because the rooster is looking for day light.

The Rebbe continued: This is why we say this blessing first. Because the key to a happy life is to know what is dark and what is light. What is good and what is bad. What is healthy and what is not. What is right and what is wrong. Only when we can distinguish between day and night can we live a happy and healthy life!

Therefore the rooster blessing is first!

As the world honors the Rebbe, let us remember that the Rebbe encourage each of us to maximise our own potential. To always distinguish “day from night”. To embrace light and reject darkness. Transforming darkness into light. To embrace a world of Moshiach by doing more goodness and kindness.

May you be blessed to fill your life with light. With blessings. With goodness.  With good health. Yes. the “rooster“ is “chicken soup for the soul”.

3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:

1) We all have a holy soul within us. Look deeper and you will discover a beautiful soul within every Jew. Within yourself.  A diamond waiting to be discovered.

 2) There is no such thing as a “Jew without a background“. Every Jew is a son of our holy patriarchies, Avrohom, Yitzchok and Yaakov. A daughter of our holy matriarchs, Sara Rivka Rochel and Leah.

3) The Rebbe is the head of the Jewish people. Just like our physical body is sustained by the life force of our brain so too is everything that G-d gives us, physical and spiritual, is channeled to us thru the spiritual brain of each generation. The Rebbe of the generation.

Moshe - Moses was the first Rebbe. In every generation there is a Moses. There is a spark of Moses in every Jew. Celebrate your unlimited potential. You are greater then you realise.
