Celebrating 79 years of The Rebbe and Rebbetzin's arrival to the United States of America!

Hi

Wishing you Gut Shabbos

Candle Lighting Time June 19 - 27 Sivan In Metro New York:  8:09pm

June 14, 1940, the armies of Nazi Germany conquered Paris.

The Rebbe and his wife Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka were living in Paris. They fled to Vichy and then to the Marseille Nice region in southern France.

The Rebbe would visit the local Jewish orphanage and often bring food for the children. The Rebbe would personally feed the children who needed help. Many children's  lives were saved by the Rebbe's caring love.

June 12, 1941, the Rebbe and Rebbetzin boarded the Serpa Pinto in Lisbon, Portugal, the ship that would take them to the United States of America.

On Monday, June 23, 1941 corresponding to 28 Sivan 5701 on the Hebrew calendar,  -10:30am- the Rebbe and Rebbetzin arrived in New York.

Immediately upon arrival the Rebbe launched a global renaissance campaign. Bolstering and disseminating Torah and Judaism in general, and Chassidic teachings in particular.

Unparalleled and unprecedented in Jewish history, the Rebbe’s global network of 4000 Chabad Houses spans six continents and more then 100 countries. Every demographic and language. Sharing the joy and meaning of Judaism unconditionally.

Today, the Rebbe’s 4,000 Chabad Lubavitch Centers and Shluchim-emissaries around the world, are the world's most dynamic force in Jewish life. Imbued with Ahavat Yisrael - unconditional love for every Jew, Chabad Lubavitch today is the world’s largest Jewish organization.

The Shluchim of the Rebbe are successfully bringing the Rebbe’s message to every corner of the globe. Encouraging all of humanity to increase in acts of goodness and kindness. Preparing the world for Moshiach, a world of peace and harmony.

This Shabbat 28 Sivan is the 79th anniversary of this miraculous day. Together let us honor the Rebbe with a Mitzvah, with Torah study, with acts of goodness and kindness.

We are blessed and fortunate to be part of the Rebbe's vision.

You are a leader. A lamplighter. You can influence your environment to help heal the world of it's pain. With happiness, enthusiasm and inspiration.

You have the power to tip the scale and usher in Moshiach.  When we will merit to celebrate with song and dance in our beloved holy city Jerusalem with the coming of Moshiach Now!

3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:

1) Man needs to make a receptacle for his livelihood and to endeavor with all his power that the receptacle be pure of any impurity or dross of cheating others and the like.

This means that whatever he does conforms to Torah laws. Thus he becomes a "vessel" worthy of G‑d's blessing, in two ways: His livelihood will be ample and his earnings will be directed to desirable ends.

2) One should say before prayer, I hereby take upon myself to fulfill the mitzva - "Love your fellow as yourself." This means that the mitzvah of ahavat yisrael is the entry-gate through which one can pass to stand before G‑d to pray. By merit of that love the worshipper's prayer is accepted.

3) How to connect to the Rebbe: A true bond is created by studying Torah. When you study my teachings writings and associate with those dear to me in their studies and farbrengens, and you fulfill my request regarding saying Tehillim and observing Tora  study times - in this is the bond and connection.
