Goals Aroma & Leadership
Hi
Wishing you Gut Shabbos. Shabbat Shalom
Candle Lighting October 30 - 12 Cheshvan NY Metro 5:33pm
You are powerful! You have your grandfather’s DNA.
When Judaism was founded, there was only one Jew!
Abraham was then still called Avrom without the H. Our founding father was the only Jew. As the Prophet Ezekiel 33:24 says: “Abraham was one and he inherited the land”. אֶחָד֙ הָיָ֣ה אַבְרָהָ֔ם וַיִּירַ֖שׁ אֶת־הָאָ֑רֶץ.
He was called “Abraham The Hebrew“ meaning from the “other side“ of the river. The entire world was on the “other side” against him. Yet despite the danger, he fearlessly, proudly and successfully publicized his faith in one Creator. Hashem is one.
G-d promised him that when he will go to a new land then G-d will make his name great and he will be a blessing.
To be a trailblazer, a pioneer, a leader, we must follow the 3 conditions which G-d said to Abraham. Go and leave your “land”, your “birthplace” and your “father’s home“.
The Rebbe explains that each of these Hebrew words has a relevant message for us today:
1)”Artzchoh” your “land“ is from the word Rotzon, Will. We must leave our personal wanting. 2) “Moladetecha” your “birthplace” refers to leaving our habits which we are used to from our birthplace. 3) “Beis Ovichoh“ your “father’s home“, refers to the way we are accustomed to serving our Father in Heaven.
Our father Abraham had a clear defined goal. To share the beauty and sweetness of his faith In one G-d with all of humanity. He was focused. Never wavered. Never doubtful in his cause. Today, almost four thousand years later, the entire world continues to know his faith. He succeeded!
Goals give us a clear vision. As the Talmud says: Who is a wise person? One who sees what will be born! When you have a clear vision, goals, a target, then you can travel your road to your success. As they say in America: How do you expect to hit your target if you don’t even have one?
The Rebbe empowers us with a clear mission and goal. We are all part of the 7th generation since the founder of Chabad, the Alter Rebbe. We are here to complete the mission. To bring Moshiach. Just like Moses was the 7th generation of Abraham and Moses brought the Torah and G-d’s Shechina, Divine presence, down into this world.
We emulate Avrohom our father. To leave our comfort zone and to go out into the world and inspire all of humanity to discover their personal purpose and to maximize their own potential.
You are a leader and you can light the spiritual candle of others. One candle lights another without loosing any of it’s own potency. Together we will illuminate the entire world. Transforming darkness into light. Exile into redemption. Evil into good. Pain into pleasure. Moshiach is on the way. You can speed up his arrival.
The Rebbe quotes the Midrash which compares us to a bottle of “Besomim” a pleasant aroma and fragrance. We each have a pleasant aroma “bottle” inside of us. When we take our internal “bottle of fragrance” outside and share the pleasure of it’s aroma with others, only then do we live up to our potential.
You can be like Avrohom our father! You can share your fragrance and inspire all in your environment. This DNA is part of you. Be courageous and travel your personal journey of your own success. You were born with a mission.
The world needs you. Fulfilling your mission will make you happy and your name will be great and you will be a blessing. As grandchildren of Avrohom It is time for us to unleash our fragrance. You were born for greatness. Your fragrance is unique and priceless.
Wishing you personal success in your personal journey of greatness and blessing!
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) The Magid of Mezritch was asked why he lived in a very simple home with pieces of wood as his chairs. The Magid answered: A wealthy businessman traveling on the road, doesn’t focus on wearing fancy rich clothing. However at home he focuses on luxury and his riches. Life is a journey. Our home is the spiritual Heaven and the times of Moshiach. Now, as we travel, let’s focus on meaningful priorities. At “home” we will enjoy our true riches.
2) The members of the Sanhedrin - The High Court in Jerusalem- would travel to towns and villages to share the knowledge of Torah with all. If they didn’t, then the sins of the people were considered the sins of the Sanhedrin. We must all leave our comfort zone and go out and share the beauty of Judaism with all. Especially with the young generation. The world needs you. You were born to be a leader.
3) In the journey of life, the human being will make some mistakes. Be courageous, take responsibility but use the mistakes as a springboard to reach greater heights. Our loving Father in Heaven forgives you when you sincerely apologize. Don’t allow your mistakes to bring you down. You were born for greatness, so focus on maximizing your talents and your potential. Utilizing your gifts and talents is something which G-d loves.
