48 Hours Free Happiness!
Your dancing during the 48 hours of Shmini Atzeret and Simchat Torah brings you blessings for all your physical and spiritual needs for the entire year.
Simchat Torah in many ways is the happiest day on the Jewish calandar.
Even when Jews lived in hostile countries such as communist Russia, even young Jews would courageously come to Synagague to proudly identify as Jews and participate in the Torah dancing celebrations.
The eternal bond between the Jew and our Father in Heavan is unbreakable. As a child of G-d we each inherit the Torah. Every Jewish child has a birthright to the Torah. You are loved by G-d unconditionally.
We dance in a circle with a closed Torah. Because In a circle all are equal. No "head-table". Rabbis, scholars and children dance together with the Torah closed .
This demonstrates our unconditional love and eternal connection to the Torah. Your connection to Torah is not because of observance. It is not predicated upon logic and reason. The Torah is your birthright.
The father of the Rebbe, Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Schneerson was exiled to a remote village in Kazakhstan. He was in pain, sick, suffering from lack of Kosher nutrition. Yet on Simchas Torah he triumphantly and happily danced between the two beds of their small one room apartment without a Sefer Torah.
Rebbetzin Chana describes the scene in powerful emotional Yiddish words. Describing the the Rebbe's father happiness, filled with love for the Torah, for G-d and for the Jewish people.
Today as we are challenged by a global health crisis, let us rise to the challenge with extra happy spirit and love, let us dance and show our unconditional love to the Torah.
You have the power to transform this global pain into a triumph. By rising above your own expectations. By uncovering your deeper wellsprings of love in your heart for Jewish heritage.
Wishing you a Happy Simchas Torah. May you be blessed with health and Jewish happiness. Your dancing and your happiness will bring you buckets and barrels of blessings.
Happiness breaks all barriers. May we be blessed to see a world of happiness, peace and harmony, a world of Divine Torah wisdom. A world of peace and healing from all illness. A world of Moshiach.
Your dancing hastens Moshiach Now!
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) The 48 hours of Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah should be highly treasured. Every moment is an opportunity to draw bucket- and barrelfuls of material and spiritual treasures. And this is accomplished through dancing
2) Every Jew is holy and loved by G-d. Every Jew has a share in the world to come. You are the beloved treasure, planting and handy-work of G-d.
3) When a Jew dances with the Torah, the person becomes the feet of the Torah. The Baal Shem Tov told a story of how the angle Michoel made a crown for G-d from the shoes of the Jews who danced the night of Simchas Torah. Dance with the Torah and you will bring blessings upon yourself for the entire year.
