Happiness Peace & Leadership

Hi

Wishing you Gut Shabbos. Shabbat Shalom

“One good deed is better then one thousand sighs”.

These words were stated by the Rebbe Rashab. The fifth Rebbe of Chabad. He was born in the Russian town of Lubavitch on the 20th of Cheshvan 1860.

Life comes with challenges. The smart person learns how to make the best of every situation, as opposed to just complaining and Kvetching. There is “existing” and then there is “living”. To exist is relatively easy. To live “life” is to infuse our existence with purpose, productivity and meaning.

When one studies even a little bit of the teachings of Rebbe Rashab, one experiences a taste of new depth and wisdom.

In one of the famous writings of the Rebbe Rashab, he discusses at length the age old question: Why did G-d create the world?

Especially since the creator is infinite and lacks nothing. So why then did He bother creating our world?

This question is empowering and motivating. When we take time to think and to ask ourselves “Why was I created”, “What is my purpose”, What is life”, then we inspire our mind and heart to find the path to a happy productive life. Healthy honest questions prompt intelligent thinking and good results.

“Appreciate criticism because it will elevate you to true heights”. This statement of the Rebbe Rashab encourages us and enables us to grow. To reach higher. Not to be afraid of trying. If we are criticized in the process we should celebrate it as opportunity for true growth.

“If one wants to influence others, they must first be willing to receive from others”.  This statement of the Rebbe Rashab teaches us true leadership.

To be a leader one must first be willing to learn from others. An arrogant person cannot succeed in influencing others. Paradoxically, it is humility which allows one to springboard to greater heights.

The Rebbe Rashab said: “Why was the human being created with two eyes? The right eye is to look at the virtues of others. The left eye is to look at our owns shortcomings”.

May you be blessed to see your virtues and to maximize your talents. Our loving Father in Heaven chose you for a reason. You are important.

Explore and unleash your talents and gifts !

3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:

1) Every argument, war and disharmony, requires two sides. When one party sees that the other party is not interested in fighting and is not effected by negativity or insults, it causes them to loose their appetite for war and fighting. Therefore one party must have the courage to remain silent and not to respond. This will bring good results.

2) Millions of Jews witnessed the giving of the Torah and the 10 Commandments at Mount Sinai. Without any interruption throughout Jewish history, Jewish children were told the story of Judaism with all it’s details. To embrace the truth of Torah is a logical fact.

3) When a person focuses and recognizes that their job and work provide a salary which enables them to provide for their family, to give charity and to have some time to study Torah, then this becomes the sweetest and most pleasant reason in life to appreciate their job.
