Before the Chassidic movement, many Torah scholars felt that prayer was just a religious duty and obligation. They rushed the prayers so not to loose time of Torah study. They preferred the pleasure of exploring the wisdom of the Talmud then the “boredom” of prayer.

The Ba’al Shem Tov’s Chassidic teachings revolutionized prayer. It empowers even a

non-scholar to experience the  joy and sweetness of the relationship between the Jew and our Father in Heaven. We can feel it in our heart primarily during prayer.

The Talmud describes prayer as “the work and service of the heart”. A tanner takes the skin of a cow, cleans it, removes the undesired elements and transforms it into a beautiful fine leather. The work of the tanner enables us to write on the newly refined parchment, a Torah, a Mezuzah and Teffilin.

Prayer enables us to remove the impurities of our heart. Prayer enables our inner princes

-our soul-  to happily unite and reconnect with her Father in Heaven. With palpable love, joy and enthusiasm.

Prayer in Hebrew is Teffilah. To “connect”.  Chabad philosophy and Chabad song enable you to liberate your inner princess from her “jail”, from the coarseness and vanity of the materialistic world . During prayer you have the freedom to experience the love and the hug of your Father in Heaven.

When your prayer is imbued with Chabad teachings, it propels you to the heights of Heaven. You can soar like the eagle. Your heart creates the energy of wings of love. Your heart-strings play the music of your soul.

Allow yourself the pleasure of tasting a prayer with soulful Chabad focus and intention. You will discover your hidden unlimited powers and your personal spark of Moshiach. Your inner beauty will shine. You will enjoy a taste of heaven on earth.

3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:

1) The Jew loves Jerusalem. After every meal and in every prayer, we ask our loving Father in Heaven to have mercy upon Jerusalem, to rebuild our holy city to her full beauty and glory. There is a Jerusalem inside the heart of every Jew. The keys to the beauty of your personal Zion and Jerusalem are in your hands.

2) The health of the human body requires clean air and oxygen. The lungs breath and purify the air. When you walk the city streets and recite  holy words of Torah and prayer, you are cleaning the air. You are bringing blessings of good health to yourself and to all in your environment.

3) In the martial arts and Karate you redirect the energy generated by your opponent and you use it for your own advantage. Life is not about escaping from our world and it’s energy and challenges. Life is about you utilizing the “energies” of our world. For you to channel it and generate holy energy. This will give you true and lasting happiness.
