Recharging Identity & Happiness

Hi

Wishing you Gut Shabbos -Shabbat Shalom & Happy Chanukah

Candle Lighting December 18 - 3 Teves New York Metro 4:10pm

Today, the 8th day of Chanukah is a powerful day of opportunity to have your prayers answered! A perfect time for blessings.

As we light the full Menorah, all 8 candles, the gates of Heaven are wide open. The light of the Menorah triumphs over darkness.

The unwavering dedication and the self-sacrifice of the Jewish people to cherish and protect the purity of Judaism, gives our Father in Heaven great pleasure and happiness.

The Greeks demanded that the Jew should delete the connection to G-d. The Greeks appreciated Jewish culture, Jewish wisdom, Jewish rational thinking and even Jewish traditions. But the Greeks vehemently opposed the acceptance of a G-d who is above all human wisdom and intellect.

Chanukah empowers us. The lights of the Menorah recharge our batteries. You have the strength and ability to transform your environment to reflect the light of the Menorah. You can hasten the eternal lights of the Menorah of Moshiach.

The miracle of the Chanukah oil is a personal miracle for each of us. Oil floats to the top. Wisdom and intellect are at the top of our existence. The oil and wisdom of your soul is shining brightly within your mind and heart.  With renewed energy and renewed power.

Unleash your true potential! Don’t be shy. Every passing moment is a once in a lifetime precious gift. Be proud of your identity! Be courageous!  You will celebrate the miracle of your success!

3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:

1) Your identity is your soul. The body is a precious vehicle which enables us to accomplish our mission and purpose.

The flame of a candle, effortlessly defeats the darkness. You too can bring light to your environment by being a living example. You are a shining beacon of light. A living Menorah.

2) The books and writings of a holy person are like a limb of their body. When we cherish and study the teachings of the righteous, we are connecting to the soul of the author and writer of those teachings. The Torah belongs to every Jew as an inheritance. Study Torah and your physical brain will be united as one with  G-d.

3) Happiness is when your soul is content with meaningful accomplishment. Then happiness can come automatically, like a flame which automatically gives light and reveals pre-existing treasures. Chabad teachings enable you to see, taste and to enjoy the miracles which are all around you. You are G-d’s treasure. Celebrate!
