Purim Happiness & Transformations
Candle Lighting February 26 - Purim New York Metro 5:23pm
Joy happiness and celebration. Purim we celebrate the miraculous survival of the Jewish people. Against all odds. We defeat all antisemites. The story of Queen Esther.
We celebrate the miraculous transformation of darkness into light. Tragedy into triumph. Pain into pleasure. Danger into victory.
The Baal Shem Tov reminds us not to look at Purim as a story of the past. It’s happening now.
You have the power on Purim to transform your challenges into success. Sadness into celebration. A new happy beginning.
Purim we connect to G-d on the deepest level. We uncover the mask of our external facad. Purim we are empowered to transform negative into positive. We discover our deepest love and pride of our Jewish identity. We can taste our unbreakable bond with G-d.
We all want a life of meaning, purpose and accomplishment. At times it may seem like we sabotaged our own success. Purim is an opportunity to relaunch our life for success. We transform our obstacles into springboards. Turning negative debt into positive riches.
Purim inspires us to know that our loving Father In Heaven loves you beyond all reason and calculation of “knowledge” including the knowledge of our negative past. You are the purpose for which the world was created.
Purim we say Lchayim and celebrate until we can no longer distinguish between the “knowledge” of Haman is cursed and Mordechei is blessed. Because knowledge is limited. G-d is infinite. Unlimited. Our past mistakes do not block the love G-d has for you.
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) Purim Inspires us to be proud of our Jewishness. Mordechai did not bow to the pressure of the anti-Semite Hamon. When a Jew stands strong with pride and unshakable faith then the impossible turns into reality with open miracles.
2) The essence of the creator is not limited by any limitations. Therefore we have the opportunity to ask G-d, the author of the Torah and it’s laws, to transform our negative past into a positive, a plus and a credit.
3) G-d has a special pleasure when a sinner returns to the path of Torah. Because the true depth of the love of our loving Father in Heaven is expressed precisely in the individual who made mistakes and now is choosing to live a better life. If you have past mistakes, look at them as an opportunity to return and receive an extra special love from our Father In Heaven.
Lchayim
