The Talmud (Sotah 47-A) states: “ One should always reject with the left and embrace with the right”. 


The Alter Rebbe, Rabbi Schneur Zalman founder of Chabad, explains in Torah Or that the deeper meaning of this statement is:  When we experience a rejection from heaven, it is for the purpose of a hug!


Our loving Father In Heaven loves His children. He is always there with us. When we encounter pain we should know that His hug is guaranteed to follow. 


Moshe our loyal shepherd, before his passing tells his beloved Jewish people: “Look and “see” I have given you a choice between life and death, you should choose life”. 


A Chabad interpretation of this is: Moshe loves us and is giving us a secret key to a happy life. 

When you “look and see” the design of creation, you will see that the vanity aspects of life are false and lifeless. The only things in life which remain forever is that which is connected to Divine eternal energy. 


Therefore Moshe advises us: Choose Life! We are encouraged to discover all the beautiful good things in life which have true value and everlasting meaning. To fill our life with true eternal riches and happiness. 


As King Solomon says in Kohelet ( Esclisiassis 2:14) “The wise person has eyes in his head but the fool walks in darkness! 


The secret of the wisdom of the wise is to “see” with the “eye of the mind” and to choose smartly. To have the vision to discover within our physical world the link to the truth and eternity of the Creator. Thereby enriching our life with true eternal riches, blessings and happiness. 


Rambam - Maimonedes inspires us to find the true riches which our sages have yearned for. A beautiful peaceful world filled with the infinite knowledge of the Creator. A life of Moshiach!


May you be blessed to always feel the hug of love from our loving Father in Heaven. To smartly “see” the true rich choices in life. 


This will bring you a good life filled with blessings of joy, happiness and eternal riches!


3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:


1) In honor of the birthday of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schnerson 25 Adar:


Your personal birthday is truly special. It is a day when you are blessed and your Mazal is strong. Your birthday empowers you. Invite your friends to your Kosher birthday celebration and announce publicly your good resolutions. Be a leader and bring inspiration to others. 


2) A miraculous coin of fire was shown to Moshe our loyal shepherd when he was instructed to count the Jewish population  census, by every Jew donating a half a coin. The coin of fire is the eternal light of the soul. Never underestimate the infinite value of your fellow Jew. Every Jew is holy, good and a beloved child of our loving Father in Heaven. 


3) The keys to inspiring the young generation are the 3 loves. Love of our Father in Heaven. Love of Torah. Love of the Jewish people. The heart and soul of every Jew is alive, waiting to be ignited with Torah love and happiness. You can save lives. Embrace your fellow Jew with unconditional love and you will feel the love of G-d embracing you.
