Joy Laughter & Renewal
Jokes are a pleasure and they make you laugh. Jokes make you happy. We love to laugh and we enjoy the pleasure of seeing a novelty. We are amused and entertained when we see and hear the novelty of a talking parrot.
In Lekutei Torah -Pinchos 154- the founder of Chabad, Rabbi Schneur Zalman explains that the reason of creation is for us to bring joy, laughter and pleasure to our loving Father In Heaven.
For our soul, the coming down into our physical world, is a painful journey. It is a “Yerida”. A lowering from it’s previous state of pleasure in Heaven. But it is an excellent and “profitable investment”. Because it is a “descent for the purpose of ascent“.
When we dedicate time, effort and energy to improving our self, despite our faults and shortcomings, we bring joy, happiness and laughter to G-d!
Paradoxically, because we are merely physical and imperfect, therefore our positive actions of goodness and kindness, of studying Torah and doing a Mitzvah is a novelty! Like a talking parrot!
You have the power to make G-d laugh!
So if you have made mistakes, be encouraged and know that at this very moment you are empowered to experience a renewal and you can create joy and laughter. You are a partner in healing the world from it’s pain.
Moshiach Is On His Way!
Your additional goodness and kindness hastens the coming of Moshiach and you are bringing healing and happiness to the whole world!
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) The destruction of the Temple in our beloved holy city of Jerusalem, is only in order for G-d to build a new and more beautiful one. Anytime a person experiences something negative, we must uncover the deeper dimension and find the new beauty that will emerge. Prayer helps you connect to your inner treasures.
2) During the 3 weeks before Tisha B’av we focus on the Holy Temple in Jerusalem and increase our giving Charity. The Temple is a sanctuary for the Divine presence. Every person has a temple and sanctuary inside of themselves and we must honor, respect and beautify our inner sanctuary. Peel away the layers and you will discover your beautiful soul. Never label yourself negatively. You are a beautiful soul.
3) Flowers flourish in a healthy environment, requiring healthy soil, water and sunlight. Every person has the potential to reveal and maximize their infinite abilities which is given to us from our infinite Creator. Focus on the positive. Don’t spend your time focused on the negative past. Maintain a healthy positive state of mind with good thoughts. Every Jew is the beloved child of our Father in Heaven. You are a prince and you are always welcome in His palace.
