Leadership Prayer & Rejuvenation
Leadership requires courage. The courage to challenge the norm. True leaders are not afraid of exploring and discovering new frontiers.
Our Father Abraham was the quintessential leader. As a young child of just 3 years of age, Abraham probed the mysteries of faith, existence and creation. He courageously challenged the popular world view of idolatry. One against the entire world. Yet he successfully taught the world about the true Creator.
In Lekutei Torah -Ki Sovo 84B- The Alter Rebbe explains that the primary meditation in prayer is to digest intellectually and emotionally, that the world and the Creator are one. G-d and our existence are one. (This revolutionary belief is not found in any other faith or religion in the world).
Chabad Chassidic philosophy explains at length how the existence of the Creator permeates every aspect of world existence. Therefore, it is not an independent world which is sustained by G-d. Rather G-d and the world are one.
The world is like a ray which is connected to the sun. In the words of the Talmud: “Keil Olam. Not Keil Ho’olam”. In the words of Chassidus: “G-d and the world are one”.
This gives us encouragement and inspiration:
Life often has it’s challenges. But deep in our heart we know that we are always united as one with our loving Father In Heaven. Literally. We are never alone. We are always connected. He is always with you. Always watching over you. Always feeling your pain and always rejoicing with you in your happiness.
Prayer is our private personal meeting time with our loving Heavenly Father. During prayer we open our hearts and we connect. You are blessed and fortunate that you have a Heavenly Father who always loves you unconditionally.
Pray. Connect. Open your heart. Speak to Him. He is eagerly waiting for you. Tell Him your personal situation. Share your feelings and feel His hug and embrace. Your words of prayer create new blessings for you and your loved ones.
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) The Jewish people are called the “pupil” of G-d’s eye. One who causes a fellow Jew pain, causes pain to G-d. Never be judgmental of a fellow Jew. Cherish, honor and love every Jew unconditionally and G-d will grant you the blessings you want.
2) Family life is the first priority. Family and peace at home are the foundation of life. A building is only as strong as it’s foundation. The blessings for the home are in the merit of the wife and mother of the home. There is nothing sweeter then a sweet home.
3) The Baal Shem Tov, the founder of Chassidus, was born on the 18th of Elul in 1698. The founder of Chabad, Rabbi Schneur Zalman was born on the same day in 1745.
The number 18 equals life. The key to life is to live in harmony with body and soul. Your soul is holy and pure. You have the talent to maximize every moment. G-d is the source of life. Study Chabad teachings and you will know how to live a happy meaningful life.
