Joy and happiness are blessings which we all desire and enjoy. Together with healthy unconditional love and friendships.
The Alter Rebbe, Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, revolutionized Jewish thinking. With the power of just a few lines in Lekutei Torah -Re'ei 32- Chabad philosophy has forever enriched and redefined Jewish thought and perspective.
Historically, before the Chabad movement, most Jews perceived the days leading up to the High Holydays as days of fear and awe. The Alter Rebbe teaches us that it is a special time to savor and celebrate our unique opportunity and unbreakable and eternal relationship with our loving Father In Heaven.
The month leading up to the Jewish new year is the month of Elul. This is your personal opportunity to greet "the King in the field". This is when G-d leaves his palace and makes His annual visit to see you in your day to day life. To listen to your requests. To be with you in your personal life and environment, home and workplace.
We are given a 30 day priceless gift and VIP invitation to ask the King for avrything we wish. The 13 attributes of G-d's mercy shine brightly. We are sheltered and protected from all negativity. G-d smiles and embraces us with a "happy face".
We all like an excellent deal!
Maximize your window of opportunity to ask and recieve your wishes. Physacilly and spiritually. Let us strengthen our connection with our Heavenly Father. To open our heart and allow our soul, "our inner beautiful princess", to hug and embrace her beloved. The One G-d of Israel.
Give yourself the pleasure of enjoying your Jewishness. Cherishing each Mitzvah and Torah study as an everlasting priceless diamond. Unleash your true potential and talents. The cosmic plan of creation and Moshiach need you. Don't allow any passed mistakes to interfere with your happy bright future.
It's a new year. A fresh start. The past is forgiven. The King is waiting to grant you your wish now. He is smiling and eagerly waiting to recieve you His beloved child and bless you for a happy, healthy sweet new year!
Your future is bright and filled with new unprecedented opportunities. Celebrate it!
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) Creation and Moshiach need you to prepare for G-d a metaphoric gourmet menu of sweet and spicy foods. A) "Sweet" foods: by studying Torah like our father Yaakov. B) "Spicy" foods: by "redeeming" the Divine sparks trapped within our physical world, utilizing the shrewdness of Eisov and transforming the world and all of it’s amazing technological and scientific discoveries for holiness. Don't negate the world, elevate it.
2) A child's personality and character comes from multiple sources. Some characteristics are inherited from birth and some are the result of education and seeing a living example. Healthy education requires the love, involvement and selfless dedication of both parents. Every child deserves a healthy education.
3) The DNA of a Jew includes the strength to conquer all temptations. Our patriarchs were "Chariots", always ready to fulfill the wish of their master. Their dedication is transmitted to all their descendants. You have the power to conquer your impulses. You can be victorious and you can win the battle of light over darkness. Set yourself free from all distracting external pressures and you will happily enjoy every moment of life.
