Success Souls & Laughter
Successful investors, focus on how to maximize their financial goal. How to generate the largest revenues and profits. The same is true regarding the goal of life. History is full with minds who pondered the question: “what is the goal and purpose of life”.
In a revolutionary presentation In Lekutei Torah - Ki Seitsei 38B- the founder of Chabad, the Alter Rebbe, Rabbi Schneur Zalman elucidates the mystery of the goal of life. Illuminating our life with a bright and inspiring warm light and clarity.
The Kabbalist and student of the Arizal, Rabbi Chaim Vital, writes, that every Jew has two souls. The first soul is G-d oriented. It’s personality yearns to connect to her loving Father in Heaven. The second soul, provides life to our body, it resides in the blood and it’s personality, like an ox, desires physical “animalistic” pleasures.
The ox is more powerful then the lamb. Although the lamb is calmer and gentler, it is the ox who has the power to carry you a great and challenging distance with stamina and strength.
In the process of Creation, first there was the world of “Tohu”. Intense powerful Divine light and revelation. But the spiritual intensity overloaded the system and “the vessels broke”, the system crashed. Then G-d created the lower world of “Tikun”. With less intense light, with order and sustainability.
The hidden potential, energy and light of the “animalistic” soul are very powerful. It’s source is from “Tohu”, a much higher level of spirituality. After the G-d oriented soul enables us to successfully polish and refine the “animalistic” soul it is then liberated and reaches a higher level and outperforms the G-d oriented soul which operates with a “Tikun” platform. Limited spirituality, with order and design.
Practically this is an inspiring paradox:
If you are tempted by “inappropriate” and “animalistic” desires, don’t think of yourself as low or unworthy. On the contrary, you should happily know that you have a powerful hidden “animalistic” soul. You have enormous energies and potential. Every time you successfully triumph and refine a little bit more of this soul, you are closer to a more powerful love, light and relationship with G-d.
The goal of life, Moshiach and creation, is to successfully win the challenge of transforming our “ox” into a refined character. To reveal your great light. As King Solomon says “Like the advantage of light which emerges from darkness”. To reveal your beautiful personality and your amazing true potential. Maximizing your abilities and your talents. You are loaded with poweful light, love and Divine energy.
You are the hero who G-d loves! Celebrate!
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) When the 13 attributes of G-d’s mercy shine, you are forgiven for your mistakes because you asked for compassion and mercy. A renewed deeper relationship with G-d. It is not about the fear of punishment. The month before Rosh Hashonoh G-d “the King comes to the field”. He is looking for you to help you. It is not only our “opportunity” but also our “obligation” to ask G-d now to grant us all our wishes and needs. Ask and He will grant it to you with a happy face.
2) A dam is created by blocking the water flow with stones, sand and sticks. But ultimately when the water pressure accumulates, it flows with even greater strength. The same is true when a person is faced with challenges or difficulties. Never become discouraged. Never loose hope. G-d is a loving Father. He feels your pain. You are never alone. Try your best to ad some light of Torah and Mitzvah. You can create a new flow of overflowing blessing. In good health and happiness.
3) The Shofar reminds us of Yitzchok - Isaac’s ram. The name Yitzchok means laughter. You have the power to transform challenges and pain into laughter. We laugh when we see a talking parrot. It is something novel and new. When you courageously transform pain into laughter, darkness into light, negative into positive, then you are the hero creating laughter. Be a proud Jewish descendent of Yitzchok. Laugh. Transform. You can triumph with a celebration of your personal victory.
Wishing you a happy and healthy sweet new year!
