Reset Return & Relaunch

Pleasure is the key to the human engine. In a sense it is like fuel to a jet, paint to the artist and love to relationships.

The Biblical word for pleasure is Oneg. It has three Hebrew letters: Ayin, Nun, Gimmel. Yet the same three letters, when rearranged, can spell the Hebrew word Nega, which is a disease and causes pain.

How can the same 3 letters be the source of pleasure and the source of pain?

In a manuscript published in 1981, the Alter Rebbe explains - Ma’morim Haktsorim 528- the Talmudic statement “Nothing bad comes down from Heaven”. At the source all is good. But when the healthy order of things is wrongly rearranged, wrongly prioritized, then even good things like pleasure and life can become the opposite.

The High Holy Days and the Shabbat Shuva between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, is a time when we can easily fix and reset all the good blessings, pleasure, in a happy and healthy way. You have the power to relaunch yourself for a happy sweet new year.

Teshuva in Hebrew means to return. Which indicates that in the past you were already there. Your soul was born holy, beautiful and pure. Happy and perfect. All you have to do is return to your true self.

You are empowered with a new opportunity for happiness, goodness and blessings. All we have to do is “return” to our original “factory settings”. Reset. By fixing the order of our priorities, we enjoy a better life, we can transform pain into pleasure. Exile into Redemption.

Return. Reset. Relaunch.

You are a beautiful holy soul filled with goodness and unlimited potential. To our loving Father in Heaven, the greatest pleasure is you!

3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:

1) The Rebbe spoke emotionally of the greatness of his mother, Rebbetzin Chana. Her willingness to risk her life in order to help a fellow Jew. The name Chana has three Hebrew letters which are an acronym for three special commandments: 1) Challah and Kosher food. 2) Family purity.  3) Lighting Candles in honor of Shabbat and Jewish holidays. Honor Rebbetzin Chana with a Mitzvah and a good deed and it will bring you special blessings.

2) Chabad Chassidic teachings are intellectually profound and deep. But this intelligence is meant to translate into practical Chassidic behavior and good character. You achieve this when you love and embrace even a simple person. Every Jew is the beloved treasure of our loving Father in Heaven.

3) When we wish each other Lchayim and bless each other with a heart of love for our fellow Jew, it gives our loving Father in Heaven great pleasure and we have the power to bring an a abundance of blessings upon the individual whom we are blessing and wishing Lchayim. Participate in Chassidic Farbrengen gatherings, especially on Jewish holidays and Shabbat. Share inspiring words of Torah and bless each other with a Lchayim. You can save lives!

Lchayim
