Jewish mysticism teaches us that happiness has the power to cancel negative decrees. When we are happy, G-d sweetens the decrees of judgments and we are blessed and enjoy revealed good. A parent at a child’s wedding is filled with happiness and is therefore happy to welcome everybody, even their enemy.  Happiness sweetens judgments. In a “judgment” mindset, only those who are deserving are welcome. “Happiness breaks down barriers”. A “Happiness” mindset helps you reconcile and unite, to see everybody equally without judgement. Everything is by Divine Personal Providence. “A person can’t lift a finger without the Providence of Heaven”.  G-d created Angels who deliver reward and punishment. Like the angels Michael and Gabriel. The angels serve as the defense and the prosecution. Eeach time a person does a good deed, the person creates a good angel who advocates for the person. The entire world was submerged and destroyed by the turbulent waters of the Flood. The question is: G-d could have accomplished His goal in the blink of an eye. Why the lengthy process of a prolonged turbulent world wide flood? The Alter Rebbe explains in Torah Or - Noach : In order for growth to happen there needs to be turbulence. Therefore the world was submerged in the turbulence of purifying waters. This achieved a cleansing and renewal of Mikve.
