Growth Family & Motivation
Modern day self-help books are filled with ideas and tips on self growth and self actualization. Judaism and especially Chabad Chassidus are filled with timeless ideas and wisdom for a happy, successful and productive life.
The first Jew was our Father Abraham. He was born near modern day Iraq - Turkey, In a culture of idolatry. Although Abraham taught the people of his birthplace about his belief in the One Creator, nevertheless at the age of 75 G-d told Abraham: “Go from your land, from your birthplace and from your father’s home to the land which I will show you”. A new beginning.
The Alter Rebbe in Torah Or explains that a prerequisite for Abraham and his descendants to grow, succeed and transform the world, is to leave our desires, our emotions and our intellect. When we are open minded to the guidance of the Master Designer of the universe, we happily arrive to the “promised land”.
The Rebbe writes: “the sign of every living thing is it’s growth and development”. Stagnation, in a sense, is the opposite of life. To be truly alive, to feel happy and fulfilled, we must leave our comfort zone. Life is sweeter and is a greater joy and pleasure when we are filled with enthusiasm and motivation to grow better, wiser and kinder.
G-d sent you from the pleasure of Heaven, down into our physical world. Because animals are stronger then humans, therefore in addition to your G-dly soul, G-d gives you an “Animalistic Soul” which is strong and powerful. The goal is for you to utilize and channel your passions and willpower for good achievements. Fulfilling your mission and your purpose in life.
You are Infinitely capable, talented and powerful. Believe in your G-d given abilities. You have new energy and power invested in you by G-d every moment. He believes in you. Maximize your true potential. You can change your life’s direction in a moment.
You can bring universal peace and healing. You can change the world. We all need you, because nobody can accomplish the mission which is waiting for the power of you!
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) Love is not what they print in novels. True lasting love is the product of the commitment of two people who are selflessly dedicated to each other. Their shared journey thru the hills and valleys of life, with unconditional respect, love and unity creates trust. The more trust you build the greater the love. Until you will arrive to the point where you can’t imagine life without your spouse.
2) Family and children are the most important gifts in life. A person may be blessed with extra talent but if they fail to use it in a healthy way, it can explode, they can become selfish, narcissistic and stubbornly self centered, destroying their precious family. G-d says He chose Abraham to be the Founder of Judaism because “I know He will educate his children and family to do Tzedakah and justice. Aspire to be like Abraham, a role model for Jewish family priorities and values. This is your true wealth and riches.
3) Happiness is not created artificially from the outside. Happiness is when you reveal the joy and pleasure which you feel inside of you. Because you have a Divine soul, therefore you naturally desire purpose and meaning, including connecting to holiness, goodness and purity. Choose goals which give you and your soul meaning and pleasure and you will be on your path to happiness. You will fill your life with joy, meaning and celebration.

אדמו״ר הזקן בספרו תורה אור מסביר כי תנאי מוקדם לאברהם ולצאצאיו לצמוח, להצליח ולשנות את העולם, הוא לעזוב את הרצונות, הרגשות והאינטלקט שלנו. כאשר אנו בעלי ראש פתוח להדרכתו של מעצב המאסטר של היקום, אנו מגיעים בשמחה ל"ארץ המובטחת ".
הרבי כותב: "סימן כל דבר חי הוא גידולו והתפתחותו״. קיפאון, במובן מסוים, הוא ההפך מהחיים. כדי להיות ולהרגיש באמת את החיים, להרגיש מאושרים ומסופקים, עלינו לעזוב את אזור הנוחות שלנו. החיים מתוקים יותר והם שמחים יותר כאשר אנו מלאים בהתלהבות, במרץ ומוטיבציה לצמוח, להיות חכמים, טובים ואדיבים יותר.
אלוקים שלח אותך מעונג השמים, אל העולם הפיזי שלנו. מכיוון שבהמה חזקה יותר מבני האדם לכן בנוסף לנשמתך האלוקית, אלוקים נותן לך "נפש הבהמית" שהיא חזקה ועוצמתית. המטרה היא שתנצל לתעל את התשוקות וכוח הרצון שלך להישגים טובים. הגשמת ייעודך ומטרתך בחיים וסיבת ירידת נשמתך לעולם הזה.
אתה מסוגל, מוכשר וחזק לאין שיעור. האמן ביכולותיך הנתונות לך במתנה מאלוקים. יש לך אנרגיה וכוח חדשים המושקעים בך על ידי אלוקים בכל רגע. הוא מאמין בך. תמקסם את הפוטנציאל האמיתי שלך. אתה יכול לשנות את כיוון חייך ברגע.
