Harmony Submarines & Enjoyment 

In today’s modern world, people are looking for opportunities to relax and rejuvenate. Stress is a key factor. Especially the stress of conflicts and disharmony. Even children are being destroyed by narcissistic and irresponsible adults. Society is eagerly looking for inspiration. 

Fortunately, the Jewish people inherited from our forefather Jacob - Yaakov the gift of harmony, balance and inner beauty. We can choose peace and harmoney. As the Alter Rebbe explains in Torah Or -Vayishlach- that Yaakov is from the world of Tikun which is inclusive and embraces opposing viewpoints. Making room for others. This is  key to enjoying a life of peace and harmony. 

The Alter Rebbe explains that beauty is the result of the harmony of multiple colors. One color alone is insufficient. With our harmoney gift from Yaakov we can consider opposing viewpoints and opinions, we can see the perspective of others. We can make room for others even if we don’t agree with their opinions.  We can reconcile with opponents and live in harmony. 

Our father Jacob battled with the heavenly forces of his brother Esav. There is no room in Esav’s world of “Tohu - Chaos” for harmony and coexistence. In the world of Esav there is disharmony and conflict. Everything must be his way. Only one color. This causes pain, war and destruction. Stubborn small-minded people are stuck in their selfish and self serving viewpoints and opinions and they cause irreparable damage and destruction. 

(On a Kabbalistic note: In the beginning of creation there was chaos. A world of Tohu which lacked harmony. The world’s “vessels״ were too small to tolerate opposing viewpoints and opinions. The intense energy of each “light” together with the lack of harmony “broke the vessels” שבירת הכלים and the system crashed. Destruction. This is the source of all problems. Then G-d created our world of Tikun, a repaired world of harmony, beauty and balance.) 

You can heal the pain and stress. You can repair the world by maximizing your gift of Yaakov’s harmony. A world of eternal Shabbos and peace. Moshiach. Your partnership, even one good deed, can tip the scale and you will give humanity and the world happiness, peace and celebration. 

3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:

1) The first Mitzvah in the Torah is to have children. Today, tragically so many Jewish people are confused, assimilating and feel distant from our beautiful Jewish heritage. We all have an obligation to “make a another Jew”. Our loving Father In Heaven loves every Jew unconditionally and yearns for each of His children. 

Share your Jewish knowledge with enthusiasm and unconditional love, especially with the young generation. Dedicate at least some of your daily time to help your fellow Jew. You are literally saving Jewish lives and Jewish souls. 

2) When you go under the ocean water in a submarine, you suddenly see a beautiful world of fish, corals and reefs etc. When Moshiach comes you will see the beauty which was hidden in every Mitzvah. 

You will see with your physical eyes the Divine existence and knowledge which was always here but hidden. As the Rambam concludes his book of Jewish law: “And the world will be filled with the knowledge of G-d like the water covers the ocean”. 

3) Chabad Chassidus changes what exists, and uncovers the essence-character. The essence-character of the Jewish person is beyond estimation and assessment, a Jew is a part of G‑d's Essence. 

You are holy and beautiful. Maximize and enjoy your opportunities. Time is irreplaceable. Time is life. You are needed now more then ever. The Jewish people are counting on you!
