Motivation Aroma & Happiness

Sweet foods have a pleasant gentle smell. Sour foods have a much stronger smell. Strong smelling-salts have the power to revive a person who fainted. Because the power of smell touches the soul and revives it and it returns to the body. 

In Torah Or -Toldos- the Alter Rebbe explains that only by sacrifices does the Torah say that G-d has pleasure and enjoys the aroma and smell. The Zohar teaches that every deed we do creates a “garment”, a spiritual aroma and smell. Every good deed creates a beautiful and pleasant aroma, every sin creates a strong negetive spiritual aroma. 

The good news is that when a person who sinned, fixes their past mistakes and returns to our loving Father in Heaven, they are sacrificing their “inner animal” therby transforming their past negative smell into a pleasant spiritual aroma for G-d. A gift of pleasure for our Heavanly Father. 


The world was beautiful on the 6th day of Creation. Then the sneak shrewdly and decitfully lured Adam and Eve to sin. Since the damage to the world happened thru the sneak’s “shrewdness and trickery” and by mixing impure physicality into holy spirituality, therefore our repairing of the world for Moshiach is done by reversing the damage thru our positive “shrewdness and trickery”. Infusing spirituality into the physical.

The above teachings give us great comfort, motivation and inspiration: 

Celebrate the gift and opportunities you have. It’s never to late to fix your past mistakes and sins and transform them into gifts of beautiful Divine aroma. By sacrificing our “inner animal” and our impure desires etc. 

We can be shrewd in a positive way, with tricks and creativity, therby becoming closer to our Heavenly Father. Never be sad, discouraged or depressed about mistakes and sins, instead: redefine them! You have the power to transform spiritual poverty and sin, into amazing heavenly aromas and spiritual riches!

Be Shrewd. Transform Mistakes, Sins and Pain Into Triumph, Gifts and Victory!

3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:

1) The Jewish month of Kislev has special power and blessings of liberation and freedom. You are given extra power to free yourself from all limitations and negativity. The Alter Rebbe and his son the Mitteler Rebbe were both miraculously liberated from Russian jails during this month. You have the power to liberate yourself and redefine your past mistakes, because it is up to you to choose now to use your past as a positive motivation to do something good today. 

Free yourself from being stuck in the past. Don’t allow this fooloishness to ruin your future. Celebrate the joy and beauty of a new day of life. Maximize it and enjoy it by filling your time productively. With goodness and kindness, you bring liberation, Moshiach and freedom to the world. This will fill you with true happiness.  

2) Your words have power. Tanya Chapter 40 explains how your emotional feelings of love and awe of G-d which permeate your words of Torah and Prayer, are like the wings of a bird, enabling your words to rise, fly and connect to Heaven. 

G-d is everywhere but He chooses to hide and be concealed. Therefore it is your focus and intention -Kavanah- which empower your words to reveal Divine Holiness. When you speak to others, speak with heart and choose kind, respectful and gentle words. This will empower your words to achieve your desired goal and you will have positive and successful results. 

3) On the first day of this month Kislev, we celebrate the miraculous happy day when the Rebbe went home for the first time after suffering a medical heart situation in 1977. When the Doctors wanted the Rebbe to work less they said “there is a %25 chance of a recurrence”. The Rebbe smiled and said: There is a %75 chance that everything will be good!

The Rebbe’s teachings are filled with optimism. Never despair. Even in challenging times, always look for the positive opportunities. Destruction is easy, it can be done even by an animal but to build requires human wisdom. Especially family-life, home and children. Be an optimist and demonstrate your humanity, wisdom and leadership to build and to repair. To make our world a beautiful home and a Royal Garden for the Creator. This is the purpose of human existence and this gives you a happy meaningful life.

למאכלים מתוקים יש ריח עדין ונעים. למאכלים חמוצים יש ריח הרבה יותר חזק. למלחי-ריח חזקים יש את הכוח להחיות אדם שהתעלף. כי כוח הריח נוגע בנפש ומחיה אותה והיא חוזרת לגוף.

בתורה אור -תולדות- מסביר אדמו״ר הזקן שרק בפרשת קורבנות אומרת התורה שיש לה' עונג ונהנה מהריח ״ריח ניחוח״. הזוהר מלמד שכל מעשה שאנו עושים יוצר "לבוש", ארומה וריח רוחניים. למי שחטא יש "ארומה רוחנית חזקה" שלילית. 

 הבשורה הטובה היא שכאשר אדם שחטא מתקן את טעויות העבר שלו וחוזר לאבינו האוהב שבשמים, הוא מקריב את ה"הבהמה הפנימית" שלו ובכך הופך את ריח העבר השלילי שלו לניחוח רוחני נעים לאלוקים. מתנה של הנאה לאבינו שבשמיים.

 העולם היה יפה וטוב ביום השישי לבריאה. ואז הנחש במירמה פיתה את אדם וחוה לחטוא. מכיוון שהנזק לעולם התרחש באמצעות ״מירמה״ של הנחש ועל ידי ערבוב גשמיות  בתוך רוחניות, לכן תיקון העולם  נעשה על ידי היפוך הנזק באמצעות "מירמה" חיובית שלנו. החדרת רוחניות לתוך הפיזי.

הרעיונות דלעיל נותנות לנו מוטיבציה והשראה רבה:

תגחוג את המתנה וההזדמנויות שיש לך. אף פעם לא מאוחר לתקן את טעויות העבר והחטאים ולהפוך אותם למתנות של ארומה אלוקית יפה. על ידי הקרבת ה"חיה הפנימית" שלנו ורצונותינו הטמאים וכו'.

אנחנו יכולים להשתמש במירמה בצורה חיובית, עם טריקים ויצירתיות, ובכך להתקרב לאבינו שבשמים. לעולם אל תהיה עצוב, או מדוכא בדיכאון בגלל טעויות וחטאים, במקום זאת: הגדר אותם מחדש! יש לך את הכוח להפוך את העוני והחטא לניחוחות שמימיים מדהימים ולעושר רוחני!

תהיה בשמחה והפוך טעויות, חטאים וכאב לניצחון מתנות וריח טוב ונעים!

3 מסרים המבוססים על תורת הרבי:

1) לחודש כסלו להיהודי יש כוח מיוחד וברכות של שחרור וחירות. ניתן לך כוח נוסף להשתחרר מכל המגבלות והשליליות. האדמו"ר הזקן ובנו האדמו״ר  האמצעי  שוחררו שניהם בנס מבתי הכלא הרוסיים במהלך חודש זה. יש לך את הכוח לשחרר את עצמך ולהגדיר מחדש את טעויות העבר שלך, כי זה תלוי בך לבחור עכשיו להשתמש בעבר שלך כמוטיבציה חיובית לעשות משהו טוב היום.
