Optimism Warmth & Leadership
Optimism inspires success. Optimism is to focus on the the ray of light amidst the darkness. Optimism is the road to happiness. People gravitate to people with enthusiasm, warmth and positivity. We can choose happiness by being bright and warm, not dark and cold.
When the Jewish people experienced the miracles of the exodus of Egypt, they were enthusiastic and emotionally warm. Then the nation of Amalek hatefully and unprovoked attacked the Jewish people. Amalek wanted to “cool off” their enthusiasm and warmth.
In Torah Or -Titzave- the Alter Rebbe explains that Amalek was driven by jealously and ego. Amalek can’t tolerate the success, warmth and enthusiasm of the Jews. Amalek is arrogance, narcissism and selfishness. We must never allow ourselves to be cold or apathetic to our Jewishness.
Moshe - Moses told Yehoshua - Joshua to “choose for us people and go fight Amalek”. To defeat Amalek we need to be Anshei Moshe, People of Moshe, committed and devoted to Moshe. When we are connected to Moshe and his values and faith, then we are victorious.

During these challenging times of Exile, when we are witnessing apathy and assimilation, we must be optimistic and remember that we have the key to victory. The antidote to Amalek is Jewish pride, Jewish education and Jewish Enthusiasm.
You are a beacon of light and warmth. Your optimism, Jewish pride and enthusiasm warm all who are in your circle of influence. You were gifted by G-d with the ability to transform the cold night of exile into the bright warm days of Moshiach.
Celebrate your true greatness. You are the beloved child of our Father In Heaven, you are a true prince and princess. Love yourself because you are holy and special. You can defeat the apathy and coldness of Amalek. Share your Jewish pride and inspire your fellow Jew, your brothers and sisters.
You are an original, not a copy. Maximize your greatness.
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) You are a living example to others. A key to leadership and to influencing others is to be a warm and enthusiastic person. The heart is warm, vs the mind which is cold. Share the warmth of your heart and you will be a beacon of warmth, light and inspiration to all. In the words of King David Psalms 71: “I was an example for all, and You G-d are my shelter of strength”.
2) Chabad Chassidus strengthens your relationship with our Father In Heaven. To pray is to connect. One who doesn’t warm their heart with the wisdom and warmth of Chabad Chassidus may miss the beauty and connection in prayer for 70 years. Invest in yourself, study Chassidus and enrich your life with meaning and warmth.
3) Joy and happiness have the power to destroy all negative forces. In a Jewish leap year we increase happiness during the 60 days of both months of Adar. G-d loves to see you happy. Increase your happiness and G-d will bless you in all that you need with abundance, long life and good news.

משה רבנו אמר ליהושע - "בחר לנו אנשים וצא הילחם בעמלק". כדי להביס את עמלק אנחנו צריכים להיות אנשי משה. מחויבים ומסורים למשה. כשאנחנו מחוברים למשה וערכיו ואמונתו, אנחנו מנצחים.
