Peace Food & Prayer
Few topics touch our soul as deep as relationships. World class medical institutions are researching the area of relationships, loneliness and friendships. From children to seniors, from teenagers to families, people are searching for a happier and healthier life.
In Lekutei Torah -Nasso- the Alter Rebbe explains why in the sacred prayer of Shma it first talks about our love for our Father in Heaven and only then does it talk of a life of abundance and food. To love is to want to connect. Therefore we must willingly want to connect and love G-d, for He is the source and truth of all existence and then we receive all the blessings in abundance.
The mystics refer to Prayer as a time of war. There are opposing sides. Light vs darkness, good vs evil, faith vs arrogance etc. During Prayer, we have the opportunity and the power to defeat our negative desires. We can unleash our inner strength, goodness and beauty of our soul. Prayer lifts us up to a higher reality.
When we rise higher and we connect to the infinite truth of existence, then conflict disappears and darkness vanishes like a cowered. Peace, love and friendship is enjoyed when we rise above ourselves and we unite with our Father in Heaven.
Paradoxically, the less a person immaturely, narcissistically and selfishly makes themselves the center of the universe, the happier they are. The more friends they have.
By letting go we receive more.
This gives us motivation and inspiration:
We are all holding the keys to our happiness, relationships and friendships. We can choose wisely the beauty of a life of blessings, joy and friendships. All we need is to honestly prioritize and distinguish between what is truly valuable and that which may seem luring and sweet but in reality is a harmful and destructive.
You are blessed with the wisdom to know what is truly good for you. But wisdom requires humility in order to function. You can be a leader and help all who are around you, by lighting the flame of your Divine candle and allowing your shining light to illuminate the darkness.
The higher you rise the more you will give from yourself. In return you will enjoy more friendships and healthy relationships.
Rise, connect and enjoy.
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) Leadership is part of the purpose and mission of every person. G-d gave each person unique talents and abilities. Always look to find ways to encourage people to maximise their potential. Be a leader and inspire others to utilise every opportunity to make the world a better place.
2) When G-d gave the Torah on Mount Sinai, the Jewish people were empowered with the opportunity to rise higher. To touch the Infinite. To not be defined by the pettiness of the physical. Every Jew can reach the greatest heights. We can merge heaven and earth. The physical needs of a Jew are as lofty as spirituality.
3) The Hebrew word for I is Ani אני. When we rearrange the letters, we become Ayin אין. Selfless. We become one with the Creator and we enjoy His love and His blessings. Part of the reason why so many young people are unhappy is because they are focused on themselves. The more we focus on helping others the more happiness and blessings we enjoy in our personal life.
You have unlimited potential. Share your Jewish knowledge with the young generation and our loving Father In Heaven will shower you with blessings!
