Relationships Reconciliation & Enjoyment
Sunrise is one of the most beautiful daily moments. At the end of the night, when one looks out on the horizon, it is totall darkness. Then miraculously, at the edge of the horizon, you can see the tip of the sun begin to rise and emerge. The combination of the sun, the clouds and the atmosphere, produce stunning beautiful imagery. מה רבו מעשיך ה׳. You see the wonders of G-d in action.
In Lekutei Torah -Vayeiro- the Alter Rebbe explains פתח אליהו, that in order to create the world, G-d first concealed His infinite light. There was total darkness. Because the overpowering intensity of the Divine light and energy does not allow “space” for others. Only post concealment, צמצום, is there an “empty space” within which, we limited, finite and physical beings, can be created and exist.
His concealment and withdrawal is what enables our existence. Metaphorically, the withdrawal is what gives us space to exist.
This principle can help us create peace in virtually any situation and resolve day to day conflicts. It can help us ensure successful loving relationships.
A key condition to allow any relationship to happily thrive, is the need to allow both parties to feel respected and comfortable in their own space.
Each person needs to feel that the other is not violating their space. A person needs and deserves to be properly respected. Without this basic and fundamental condition, there is no healthy relationship.

When we fix this problem, we can fix virtually every relationship. We can reconcile and enjoy the gift of a happy peaceful life.
Paradoxically, the more we withdraw and limit our own ego and existence, the happier both parties are. Because the pleasure of the relationship is much greater and sweeter then the requirement of making space for each other. The more you give the more you enjoy!

This gives us motivation and inspiration:
We are living in a paradox. On the one hand we are the generation which will immanently merit to see the Biblically promised redemption and Moshiach. On the other hand, the breakdown of relationships in the modern era is an urgent crisis.
Many people and especially children and young people are hurting. Let us all do what G-d did. Let us make space for each other, even if it requires self withdrawal. Self limitation. We must remove the ego and allow space for the other person to be and feel respected. Then we will all be happy.

The Rebbe tells us that Moshiach Is On The Way! We must grow, do more goodness and kindness in order to hasten the eternal era of a world of peace, health and happiness. The negative spiritual forces are looking to delay Moshiach by causing dishsrmony and disunity. We must courageously and happily increase peace and harmony.
If you know of a situation of conflict, do your best to help facilitate peace. When people become caught up in a conflict, their ego blinds their rational mind. They don’t truly think. They become cold, narcissistic and stubborn. They don’t grasp the destruction, pain and damage which they are causing to themselves and to their loved ones.
With kindness, warmth and unconditional love, it is easily possible to bring about peace and happiness. It is never to late for reconciliation. Be a leader, a peacemaker, pursue peace.
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) You are a gift to the world. You were handpicked by our Father in Heaven to be born at this particular time in history. Unleash your beautiful soul within you. Do not allow others to stop you from becoming the amazing person you were created to be. Strengthen your faith and trust in G-d, triumphantly march forward and you will be blessed with success and happiness.
2) Sweetness comes in many forms. A sweet apple, a sweet thought, sweet and heartfelt music etc. All forms of sweetness come from G-d’s kindness. Be like G-d, be kind, help others and take pleasure in helping your fellow Jewish brothers and sisters and by extension all of humanity. Since we can enjoy a life of holy meaningful sweetness, of good deeds, why foolishly waste it on a life of selfish sweet candy?
3) Our father Abraham gave every Jew a rich gift of kindness. Avrohom instills in our DNA a desire to be kind. To enjoy helping our fellow Jew. The Torah testifies that G-d knew that Avrohom will command his children and generations to come to do justice and righteousness. Never underestimate a Jew. Every Jew is a priceless treasure.
Every Jew, even if he or she doesn’t seem connected to Jewish practice, nevertheless they own a share in Torah, as they fully inherited the DNA of our patriarchs and matriarchs, Avrohom, Yitzchok and Yaakov. Sara, Rivka Rochel and Leah. A Jew is a prince and princess. The pupil of G-d’s eye.
Celebrate every Jew with unconditional love and kindness. G-d personally appreciates when you love and are kind to all His children. Love your fellow Jew and G-d will show you extra love and blessings.
