Leadership Sunrise & Transformations

At the young age of three, our father Abraham courageously challenged the entire world. Growing up as a child, Abraham had no friends who shared his passion and enthusiasm for his faith in G-d.

Fearlessly and tirelessly, with boundless energy and uncompromising efforts, conversations and caring, Avrohom single-handedly transformed a pagan, idol worshipping world, into a world which recognizes the One G-d of Israel. Indeed, the  Torah testifies “אחד היה אברהם” Avrohom was one alone! Avrohom forever changed the trajectory of  humanity and faith.

But why does G-d create the challenges? He could have created a perfect world which would not require fixing or improvements. Why make humanity struggle?

In Torah Or -Lech Lecha- the Alter Rebbe explains that the world was intentionally created imperfect. It is for our benefit, because G-d wants us to earn the great fortune and opportunity to be His partners in creation. We can fix the imperfections. We can remove the negativity and darkness. We can infuse our life with eternal joy and live meaningful lives. You can change the world.

When a chef is preparing delicious gourmet food, the chef must first remove the bitter stuff, the shells etc. in order to reveal the gourmet delicious taste of the food. This is why we start with the six working days of the week. We engage the world and it’s challenges, making it a better, kinder, holy place and then we celebrate the holy day of Shabbos.

So too, do we have the good fortune and blessing of לתקן עולם במלכות ש-ד-י, repairing the world and revealing it’s hidden Divine beauty and inherent goodness. Our efforts make our lives truly meaningful and significant. Every Mitzvah we do is another beautiful flower and planting in the Royal Garden of our loving Father in Heaven.

If one makes the effort then even the challenges and the energy of the aggrevations of life can be harnessed and channeled. One can use it to be fuel, thereby transforming it into an opportunity and springboard which propels us to much greater heights.

By doing our part to repair and perfect the world, we will hasten the happy eternal time of a world of revealed good. A world of Moshiach. A world of joy, health and universal peace. A world filled with the sweetness and pleasure of Divine knowledge and eternal happiness.

The Alter Rebbe later emphesizes the importance an emotionally healthy heart, a heart which feels and enjoys our relationship with our Father in Heaven. We have to remove the covering of the heart.  We create a covenant of the heart which enables us to be emotionally tuned in to the beauty and truth of life and of our personal unique mission.

This gives us motivation and inspiration:

Yes, certainly we want and we will imminently merit a world without any struggles, tests or challenges. That’s the real plan of creation. Yet only now in the last moment of exile do we still have the opportunity and gift to become an eternal partner with G-d.

We never Heaven Forbid justify any suffering or challenges of another person. When we see pain, first and foremost we are obligated to help in every possible way.

Only the human being is gifted with the ability of transforming  negetive into positive, darkness into light, bitter into sweet. Let us be like our father Avrohom. Fearless and courageous. Never losing hope. Always focused on the cause, on the target and goal. Triumphantly marching to victory.

Avrohom didn’t have it easy. Many tried hurting him. His life was many times in danger. Yet he never lost faith and he always persevered. Avrohom was resilient, he relentlessly kept marching forward. Together with our mother and matriarch Sara, Avrohom founded Judaism. Together our illustrious forefathers inspired the entire world.

You have the genes of Avrohom and Sara, you are a prince and princess. You are empowered with their inheritance to complete the task. Happily and joyously discover the Avrohom and Sara within you and you will unleash your hidden energies, deep joy and a life of rich meaning and celebration.

3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:

1) At 75 years of age, Avrohom was commanded by G-d to go. לך לך. Leave your comfort zone. Leave your land, leave your childhood environment,  it’s culture and leave the home of your parents. Avrohom knew that in order to discover the promised land, the beauty of life, you must be willing to leave your comfort zone. This enables you to maximize your own abilities abd be a light onto others. To share your knowledge and inspire humanity.

The Hebrew words are לך לך. Go to you. Because your true greatness is already within you. Within your soul. You were born with greatness. All you have to do is access it. If you want to be successful in your own life, then help another Jew in their life.

Teach every jewish child the Alef Bet. Share the richness of our jewish heritage. Share the wisdom of Torah and 3300 years of Jewish scholarship. The more you share the more happiness and blessings you will enjoy.

2) Avrohom was promised by G-d that “I will make your name great”. Does Avrohom need or seek greatness and fame? The explanation is that Avrohom is like a beautiful aroma. Wherever it travels, it brings the sweet pleasant aroma and consciousness of G-d. It’s good for every environment.

The greatness of Avrohom and his name, is synonymous with the greatness of G-d. By making Abraham’s name great, we automatically make the name of the creator great.

3) Sunrise and sunset are majestic. From the depths of darkness, the sun begins to rise and the darkness automatically vanishes. The more of the horizon you can see, the more you appreciate the miracle of sunrise each morning. Then, when the sun sets in the evening, you have the confidence in knowing that the darkness is only temporary.

Every drop of water in the ocean, reflects the light of the sun. Like the waters of the ocean which fill the see will me merit to witness and enjoy a world of Divine knowledge.

Life has moments of sunrise and sunset. Focus on the positive. Even in a moment of seeming darkness, don’t loose hope, know that the light of the sun is coming your way. The Prophets tell us that Jewish destiny will rise like the sun. Our light will forever shine brightly.

Never despair, never give up. Ironically, the darkest time of the night is before sunrise. If you see great darkness, know that the sun is about to rise. Moshiach Is On His Way. Celebrate and prepare for eternal sunrise.
