Aristocracy Royalty & Personal Freedom

People around the world admire the freedom and liberty of the United States of America. There is a reason why there are people from every country who want to emigrate and enjoy the freedom of America. Freedom is one of the most basic desires and pleasures of a human being.

In Torah Or -Voeiro- the Alter Rebbe explains the deeper concept of exile. Each one of us has a soul, which is a part of G-d. Our soul naturally gravitates to her loving Father in Heaven. Exile is when  a person lives a life  in which our soul is in exile, a life in which our heart and mind are not being filled with Divine knowledge and love for our Heavenly Father. A life in which a person is spiritually cold and not passionate and warm.

Freedom for the soul is for our soul is be free to enjoy a warm and loving relationship with her Father in Heaven. A passionate and warm Divine connection, including prayer, Torah study and good deeds. The pleasure of happily doing a Mitzvah.

Our sacred prayer of Shma Yisroel, celebrates the fact that a Jew can draw down the Divine presence into every part of our life, to every corner of the globe. The greatest and deepest happiness of our soul is the pleasure of revealing the truth of the Creator and the purpose of Creation in our physical world. To illuminate the entire world with the beauty of Divine light.

Prayer was instituted by our sages, in order to replace the sacrifices which were brought in our Holy Temple in Jerusalem. A sacrifice is metaphorically considered “food” for G-d.

Just like food helps maintain the connection between our soul and our body, so too, do our prayers help connect our soul and the physical world with the Divine Schechina - presence. Prayer is a Divine “food”. It helps maintain the connection and relationship between G-d and our physical reality and existence.

By learning Chabad Chassidus and intellectually understanding the Divine purpose of life and Creation, we warm our mind and heart with a warm love for our Father In Heaven. We enrich our quality of life with eternal purpose and meaning. This enables us to enjoy the pleasure of every moment of life.

This gives us motivation and inspiration:

The keys to happiness are in your hands!

Life and our physical existence have needs such as oxygen, food and water. But in order to live happily, we can not just live like an animal who spends the day focusing only on physical survival. True human happiness requires us to live with Divine purpose and meaning. To feed our soul. For a Jew this means a life filled with the wisdom of Torah and doing Mitzvahs. The more we do, the more we know, the happier we are.

We are now living in a time when most  people are enjoying the gift of modern technology. Yet so many people, especially young people, are not happy. To a large degree this is because they are lacking the happiness of their soul which yearns to connect and embrace her loving Father In Heaven.

Many in todays generation are lacking a sense of true purpose and meaning. modern society and secular education is teaching young people how to exist but they are not teaching young people how to truly live. Torah is called the “Book of Life”. Not only does Torah teach us how to exist but more importantly it teaches us how to live happily.

Life today may have many gadgets of convenience, but true lasting happiness is not about convenience or existence. True happiness is about purpose, Divine love and a life filled with meaning.

The good news is that we can all share the beauty and wisdom of Judaism with every person, from children to seniors. Chabad Chassidus is filled with gold and diamonds, wisdom and nutrition for the soul. Help start a Chassidus class, invite your friends to enjoy a Shabbos meal. Help give a Jewish child a happy Jewish education.

You can give every person true freedom. By unlocking the chains of personal exile and enabling true spiritual freedom. Give the gift of purpose, joy and meaning. Be a leader and ensure that every person you know is enjoying a life of Torah, true liberty, purpose and eternal freedom.

The keys to freedom and happiness are in your pocket!

3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:

1) The Rebbe’s mother Rebbetzin Chana Schneerson, personified aristocracy and royalty. Living a life filled with purpose and meaning. A life in which every day was dedicated to Jewish pride, Jewish heritage and Jewish continuity. Helping others and finding creative ways to bring the joy and happiness of Judaism to as many as possible.

2) Some people waste their life focusing only on the physical needs of life. Smart people look ahead to the future. Smart people think about the purpose and meaning of life. They feed their soul with Torah and Mitzvah. They enjoy the harmony of body and soul. Be a leader and help share the joy and beauty of Judaism with all the people with whom you come in contact.

3) The world is divided into four categories. 1) The inanimate. 2) The world of plants and vegetation. 3) The animal kingdom. 4) The human being. The inanimate, the earth and it’s minarels and nutrients, serve the world of plants and   vegetation. The world of vegetation serves the world of the animal kingdom. The animal kingdom serves the human being. Happiness is when we discover the Divine importance and hierarchy of the human being. Happiness is when we light our personal candle, the wick of our body and soul, with the light of Torah and Mitzvah.

By ensuring that every human being receives their spiritual nourishment, we ensure that every person can live a life of joy and happiness, a life of peace and redemption. A life of freedom, a life of Moshiach. Be a leader, be a living example of a person who is living and enjoying a life of freedom and vibrant Judaism. By helping others you will be bringing to yourself a life of blessings, joy and happiness.
