Leadership Transformation & Self Confidence

Leadership is a universally admired and respected characteristic. Since the dawn of history, societies around the world appreciate people who inspire others to improve and transform themselves. To repair their flaws and imperfections and to live a better and more meaningful life.

In Torah Or -Vayikro- the Alter Rebbe explains the reason why we were created with flaws, imperfections and personality deficiencies. תיקון המדות. Why do we have to invest so much effort to change, transform and become a better person.

The Alter Rebbe explains that we have two souls. Each soul drives us and motivates us in an opposite direction. Our G-dly soul encourages us to live our life in accordance with the will and directives of the Creator. To fulfil our mission.  On the other hand, our Animal soul, encourages us to indulge in our own selfish desires.

Our G-dly soul came down into our body in order to repair and transform our Animal soul. By inspiring the Animal soul to אתכפיא, to resist actualizing it’s temptations and to incrementally transform,אתהפכא, our Animal soul.

We toil and invest hard work into changing the Animal soul. To recognize the truth of the Creator and the beauty and joy of a productive life, of Torah and Mitzvah.

It is for this reason that we are created and born with flaws and imperfections. This is by intentional Divine design. It is an opportunity for us to rise and to be leaders who inspire our Animal soul to transform and change. We benefit and gain by using the powerful and superior strength of our Animal soul for good accomplishments. “There is great strength in an ox”.

With the enormous power of our Animal soul, we plow our inner “earth and field”, we remove the negative and clean up our own “rocks and dirt” which cover the beauty of our true Divine identity. We transform ourselves and the world, into a beautiful Royal Garden for our loving Father In Heaven.

This gives us motivation and inspiration:

Although we have an Animal soul with strong selfish desires, we should be happy to know that we are handpicked and chosen to be the soldiers and heroes who will transform our Animal soul into a powerful force for the good.

We are the 7th generation since the Alter Rebbe. The faster we clean up our own and inner “rocks and dirt” the faster we become a global force of good. We will accomplish the goal of the cosmic plan of Creation.

3300 years ago, the Jewish people experienced their first Passover when they left Egypt. They only ate the humble unleavened Matzoh and spent 7 weeks, 49 days, repairing and cleaning up their personality flaws and imperfections. The 49 days corresponded to the 49 levels of human emotions and characteristics. Then they immediately recieved the Torah and the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai.

Many people today suffer from low self esteem and a lack of self confidence. Partially because of their flaws and imperfections. People spend countless hours in therapy sessions. Chabad Chassidus inspires us to know that our flaws and imperfections are the very purpose for which we were born. Don’t become depressed about it. Take action and discover your true beautiful self.

Our flaws are our springboards to reaching greater heights. We boost our self confidence by courageously confronting the challenge of self transformation. This is a gift and true accomplishment.

We never give up, we never loose hope. We keep on plowing and we emerge triumphant and victorious. Stronger and better. We know that this is part of the cosmic plan and we happily become partners with G-d in making our world a better, holier and kinder place.

We look forward to imminently seeing a new and cured world. A world of which is healed from all sickness and illness , a world of peace and universal love. A world filled with positivity, celebration, goodness and kindness. A world of Moshiach.

As the Prophets of the Bible tell us, the world will be covered and soothed by the spiritual seas of Divine knowledge. We will happily and joyfully dance and celebrate in our holy city of Jerusalem, our eternal home.

We all need you. Take action now!

3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:

1) The Pesach Seder, is a unique time to strengthen Jewish identity and Jewish education. Many young Jews are unfortunately not receiving a proper Jewish education. Go thru your contact list and invite your Jewish friends who may not have a place for a Kosher Passover Seder.

The Haggadah is a time to share the light and beauty of Jewish tradition with every Jew. Make sure that every Jew has hand made Shmurah Matzah, at least for the two Passover Seders.

2) Once a week on Shabbos, we pause and focus inwards. We enjoy the gift of peace and unique relaxation of Shabbos. Our inner beauty shines majestically. The home is filled with new blessings which are ushered in by the Shabbos candles lit by Jewish is mothers and daughters from age 3 and up.

On Shabbos, the entire world is elevated and is closer to our loving Father In Heaven. We live on a higher level of consciousness. Shabbos is a time of strengthening the family bond. Every child should be given a chance to feel special and loved. As much as possible make sure that every child has their favorite Shabbos food. Invest in your Shabbos table, nice dishes and delicious foods.

3) Children love Passover. It is a highlight for children. The entire Seder is focused on children. We make sure that every child feels part of the Jewish family. Even the so called “wicked son” is welcomed at the Seder table with unconditional love and is seated near the “wise son”.

The “wicked son”  is not apathetic. He cares. He argues. He debates. Because deep down, Jewish tradition and Jewish identity is important to him. Open your home to every Jewish child with unconditional love, permeated with Jewish pride. G-d will reward you and bless you for taking care of His precious beloved child with the blessings you want.
