Purim Transformations & Rejoicing

In many ways, the happiest  day on the the Jewish calendar is Purim. The reading of the Megilah, children masquerading, sharing gifts of food, charity to the poor and the delicious Purim meal. The miraculous story of Purim is an eternal reminder to never give up. Never loose hope. Even a painful past can miraculously be transformed into joy and happiness.

In Torah Or -Titzave- the Alter Rebbe explains the hidden path to happiness. The power of ilumenating life with the performance of a Mitzvah. The ability to transform darkness into light. The Alter Rebbe explains the virtue of lighting our fire with the energy and blessing of Moshe the leader of the Jewish people.

Life and Divine reality have many levels. On the highest level, we transcend all limitations and the future is not limited by a negative past. Day and night are equal. Moshe is always united with the essence of G-d and there is a spark of Moshe within each of us. Thanks to Moshe, we can always transform our life into a new miracle of joy and happiness.

This gives us motivation and inspiration:

Purim and the Megilah, the heroism of Esther and the unwavering Jewish pride of Mordechei, empower us to always proudly remember who we are. To always believe in a miraculous new future.

Purim means “lottery”. It is the opposite of logic and reason. We rise above the laws of nature, logic and limitations and we dig deep within ourselves and emerge with triumphant strength and resilience.

Day and night, light and darkness are all products of nature. Purim shows us how to rise above and never to fall into despair. On Purim we are commanded to say Lchayim until we leave the world of “knowing” limitation and we transcend and experience the world of higher then logic. לא ידע. A world of miracles without any limitations.

On this higher level, our sins are transformed into positives. Our mistakes become merits. Our spiritual “debt” becomes riches. The essence of our soul shines majestically and brightly in all of it’s pristine beauty and glory, for all to see.

Celebrate and savor every moment of Purim. This is your opportunity to turn everything around to be as you wish!

Purim is higher then Yom Kippur. Maximize your opportunity!

3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:

1) Purim means a lottery. A lottery is higher then logic and reason. Haman wanted to exploit the use of a lottery and access the Divine powers which transcend logical reason. Haman mistakenly thought that on this high level, the Jew is equal to a non Jew and G-d will abandon the Jewish people. But G-d showed the world that His love for the Jewish people is eternal and is unshakable. Even on the highest levels where logic and reason are not a factor, G-d still chooses to love the Jew.

The Jew is always beloved, special and chosen.

Celebrate your Jewishness with pride and ensure that no Jewish child is left behind. Every Jewish child deserves a Jewish education and to know that they are the eternal beloved child of our loving Father in Heaven. We are one nation, one family. Every Jewish child deserves our unconditional love.

2) The Purim story teaches us that in every generation we must courageously stand up as proud Jews and live like Jews. Our existence is not based on nature. The stronger our commitment to Torah and Mitzvah the more miracles we see.

3) The mistake of the Jews in the times of Purim was that they thought that politics and nature control the world. In reality, Jewish survival is directly linked with faith in G-d. Rise above the limits of logic and nature and you will merit to see miracles with joy and happiness filling your life.
