Love Sculpting & Fishing
The Menorah is one of the most popular Jewish symbols. In Jewish history, the golden Menorah of the Holy Temple, proudly represents the Jewish people's aspiration to continuously bring light into the world.
In Lekutei Torah -B'haoloschoh- the Alter Rebbe explains why the Menorah had to be sculpted from one chunk of gold. The Menorah and it's seven branches represent the full spectrum of the Jewish people. Although each Jew has their own personality etc. nevertheless we are all one people. We are all part of the same Menorah of gold.
The Ba’al Shem Tov emphasizes the importance and obligation to love every Jew unconditionally. On a soul level we are literally all united as one because we are all children of our Father In Heaven. We are all brothers and sisters. The Alter Rebbe says that the main thing is not to see any fault in a fellow Jew. We are sculpted from the “same piece of gold”.
Sculpting is an art. The artist reveals the hidden beauty and treasure which was hidden in the chunk of metal. To artistically highlight how each piece is important. Each part enhances the beauty of the entire sculpture.
This gives us motivation and inspiration:
Always love every Jew just like you love yourself. Because you are one and the same, you are not loving an outsider. You are simply loving yourself. The Jewish people are like one body. Good health is when the blood circulation is healthy and it circulates around the body without any blockages. Then the entire body is healthy. Unity highlights the beauty of each person of the Jewish people.
Jewish unity brings us all good health. Our loving Father In Heaven wants every Jew to be blessed with abundance. All we must do is to make sure that our national spiritual blood circulation is healthy and uninterrupted. Peace literally brings health and happiness.
Sometimes peace and reconciliation may seem like a challenge. But when you recognize that the other person is you, you are one and the same and we are all one, then it is easy to happily reconcile and truly love each other unconditionally. It’s a win win.
Today more then ever it is the highest priority that there is peace and harmony in the family structure. Those who interfere are destroying generations. All the blessings of life are a result of peaceful family life.
Love and treat your fellow Jew as yourself and you will be blessed with all that your heart desires.
3 messages based on the teachings of the Rebbe:
1) Fish live in the water. Without water fish cannot survive. The Jewish people are like fish in the water of Torah. For more then 3300 it is the Torah which kept the Jewish people. A Jew needs Torah for survival. The more we study Torah the more life and blessings we have. Every moment which we study Torah gives us health, life and blessings. Invest your time wisely. Incorporate a daily time to study Torah.
2) Chabad Chassidus gives you the opportunity and the tools to enjoy a happy and meaningful life. When a Jew understands and appreciates how every Mitzvah, every good deed, opens new channels of Divine blessings for you and it is a Divine connection which brings pleasure to our Father In Heaven, then we can perform the Mitzvah with true joy and happiness. Do a Mitzvah and you will feel happier and better about yourself.
3) Our children are our future. We must all invest in Jewish education. A soul comes down from Heaven for a purpose. When you help a child study Torah you are connecting thousands of years of Jewish heritage to the young generation. A child without education can run amok. Be a leader and help Jewish children you know to receive a Torah Jewish education. This will bring you eternal blessings, joy and celebration.
